Yuku lets you know about new messages in two locations.

The first is the Navigation button on the right side of the navigation bar.

When there are no new messages the button will be grey (or what ever color that board is using)

When you send messages regularly to the same profiles, handling the same subject, you save some time by creating groups and sending messages to the groups as a whole.
As a board owner, you might want to send private messages to your administrators, moderators and regular board members without having to send a message to the entire community.
This can be done by creating a group.

  The Yuku Hall of Fame lists profiles that have been awarded the most Kudos on the Yuku system. Users are given Kudos when they do something positive on the Yuku system (e.g. make comments, post content, invite friends, etc...).

  The Hall of Fame main page lists the Top 10 Profiles and Rising Stars in the Yuku system.
