I keep hoping that I will have one month on my hockey board with over 50k page vies so that we can go to page views rather than days. That will work out so much better for us. We get all our action from October to May and then not much at all through the summer. With days, the days count down the same whether we have 10 visitors that day or 300.

paying for ad-free page views rather than days of gold (ie, paying the flexible scheme rather than the flat scheme) almost always works out cheaper for you. Especially since if drop back below the 50,000 total views you DON't switch back to days. And when you're on the flexible scheme you have options for letting some people see ads and others not. IMO there should only have been one payment scheme, but meh.

cookingkay, post counts next to messages reflect the number of posts you've made on a particular board. Your profile currently says that you have 13,288 total Yuku posts. The "9" next to your name on this board reflects the fact that you have 9 posts here at Support.

Figure in that some boards always show the total post count for that board next to a member's name. Other boards opt to show the number of posts a member has made at the time that message was posted....

So my question is, are Gold status purchases no longer available, leaving the sole option of Ad-free page views? My rough calculations show this method as being a quite an increase in fees.

I've calculated the cost for hundreds of yuku boards over the past few months. Generally the boards are much cheaper on yuku. If you give me a link to your board I can let you know how much it will cost you for the next year.

If your board will be charged by page views after Dec 1st, then you must be running over 50,000 page views a month. Don't panic yet, a page view is not the same thing as an ad view (welcome to Yuku-nomics). An ad view is a page that has an ad displayed. Unlike ezBoard, Yuku Gold charges only for ads not viewed, not total page views. Currently, only topic pages have ads. Your main page, the various forum pages, calendar, etc. do not...
