It's a random error, it has happened in the past to people (including myself) it isn't anything you did wrong.

OK ignore this, its worked now... cant understand why that kept on happening though!!!!

AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!
I have followed the above advice to set up a poll, when I click on create new poll it all works fine... however, when I click submit, I am taken to a yuku page which says I do not have permission to post in this forum! THEN when I go back to the forum in which I have enabled polls, the option to create a new poll has disappeared!!!

am I doing something wrong?!

Renegal59, your snapshot shows that you're looking at community-wide settings. Polls need to be enabled on a forum-by-forum basis (you may want polls to be allowed in some forums but not in others):

1. click "Admin" (on the navigation bar)
2. click "Forum & Chat Management"
3. find the forum where you want to enable polls
4. click the "settings" link to the right
5. scroll down to the "Poster Permissions" section...

Hi renegal59,

Log into your Control Panel:

Forums & Chat > Forum & Chat Mgmt > settings (on whatever forum you want to work with) - Scroll down to "Poster Permissions" and check "Enable Polls"

The poll button should appear on that forum after.
