In Firefox, the back button does not work (this has been a documented bug for a long time) and so I cannot return to my typed in reply, it's lost.

This doesn't excuse the bug (which extends far beyond losing replies), but if one hits Preview early and often during the process of posting, s/he can hit the back button and return to the most recently previewed...

This is also the case with the flood check warning. I get this all the time now, and if I am posting in Safari using the Quick Reply box I can just click back and wait, then try again. In Firefox my post is lost.

This happened me on a board just yesterday. I let the screen sit for a minute and hit 'refresh' rather than 'back', and the post went through. I then tested it using the normal reply rather than the quick reply box and that...

IE at work keeps the post and it's there when I go back, IE at home doesn't

It depends what browser you're using. In safari the back button works fine, so if I am logged out and type a reply in the Quick Reply box, I can use my back button after I've been prompted to log in to return to the topic - and my typed reply is STILL THERE. Chris W962. That is how I see it. Funny that you and other yuku people have not corrected that even yet. It's been a problem ever since yuku started. Along with that "edit" problem. I posted this same stuff (less the slowness problem) over a year ago.

Chris, I don't think Nacho is talking about being accidentally being logged out. If a reply button is available, the post editor pops up, and a member is prompted to log in upon hitting the post button, contents of the message shouldn't be lost.

Exactly .. one of the issues I mentioned. This happens when you are voluntarily logged out, and trying to make a post, but responding to the ezboard/yuku question AFTER YOU HAVE WRITTEN your post, that...

Thanks for the clarification, Chris. This is stuff I'm not too familiar with. Unless I'm browsing under someone else's (OS-level) account, I almost always try to stay logged in and give board owners the benefit of my Yuku Supporter.

If it isn't already, the Quick Reply situation should definitely be bugged up. There's no way that something that user unfriendly would be part of the system by design.

1. Yup. It's an ongoing issue.

2. Yup, although I'm good about being logged in before writing a post. I assume that this is bugged up.

3. I'm fine with the status quo, but if you're a board admin, you can change what this button says.

Hit the Admin link in the navigation bar.
In the Community Settings box, follow the Edit Labels link.
Check the box at the top that says "Use Custom Labels."

1) About how SLLLOWWWW it is.

2) About how you are logged out and it accepts a "quick post" you make, but then it asks you for a login ID and password, and unaware you don't save/copy your post, and when it gets back from logging you in what you posted is gone.

3) About when you are logged in and make a post that you need to make changes to. You then punch EDIT on the post. You make your changes and then the PUNCHES to do are then, among them EDIT. What are...
