I have hidden the link but as I say applications are being send to support as well as all admins whether the link is hidden or not.

Other aspects of support will be refined over time.

Will wait to see what happens.

at the moment that isn't an option. But if you don't think that your board has any need for a support account, then just hide the link from the main page.

This support for me just isn't working out.

When we mentioned how only the first admin on the board would be able to see that there was a support message in the in box the system was changed to send the support message to all the admin's private PM boxes which sounds a good idea. But.....................

This is just now making twice the amount of work. One has to go into support messages and clear that box and then from there to ones own private message box to...

yes, it was obviously going to get totally out of hand!! Although most of the poeple posting on other boards were people who got stuck in their own support account, which I hope is also fixed.

all the admins of a board can access the support account.

The person who joined your board called support is the admin of another board, who got confused.

We are looking into how this works.

I made a post on my boards letting my members know that "contact support" is actually me. I hope I worded the posts correctly. lol

Oh my, this support thing is confusing. And I have to agree - those who have support accounts should only be the board owners.

I managed to post as 'support' on my board yesterday morning for 8 posts before I realized what had happened. Whoops.

That's strange. The only people who should have a support account I think are the board owners. Does she own a board here at yuku?

I have a new member who has only just registered to YUKU, and her profile name is support ..... that is kind of worrying don't you think?

Sometimes all I have to do is close out of the support area & it'll take me back to my original profile name (without having to logout & then log back in). But there were a couple of times where it kept me logged into my support account. I think someone said it was a bug (?).

Hmm I just logged on with IE6 to check and indeed, when you mouse over it, there is nothing to be seen. FF shows the board name, IE6 does not.

my fault - correction. When you mouse over the profile name that shows on a post, where the post is made on a board OTHER than the home board of the profile, then you should see the home board.

well the one I moused over was perry's, and it was on this board....is this his home board?

if you mouseover the linked "support" by the avatar, it will tell you the original name of the user that's using support....

Really? Where do you see that? It is supposed to be the board name.

When I mouse over it I see "support's Profile", not the board name. This is on IE6.

Yes, it's me, Yuku is cool, and all. Does every board owner have this now?

I think I made the mistake by clicking on the support box below my messages box.
