The location displayed is typically the location of your Internet Service Provider's offices or technical facilities. In rare cases the location may be your actual address. You can turn off the map if you don't want it to be displayed.

the location posted on my profile is correct - it's the google map on My Location block that is showing a map of San Francisco

the block states that the map should show the location of my IP, and it was working correctly earlier today
