Posts: 269 28-Mar-08 5:44 AM	Tags : resolved I reported this once before, but never received a reply. I thought it might be a fluke, but it's happened again. I've disabled the "comments about me" block on my profile. Should that not block other users from leaving comments on my profile? And yet once again, this morning I've found my comment block is visible on my profile, and there's a new comment. Even though, when I go to my profile page layout, "comments about me" is in the bottom section of the mangement tool, with the other blocks that are supposed to be inactive. Posts: 269 29-Mar-08 7:36 PM	I'm not sure you'll find anything now because I re-disabled it. It stayed disabled for a while after I did it last time, but then all of a sudden it was back again. It's happened once or twice before.

Posts: 967 31-Mar-08 7:08 AM Check please!	i think it would cause that problem alison. when the kudos thing happens to me it's after a vote or friend acceptance. i click the little message icons at the top of the page and open them in a new tab, which of course opens my profile in a new tab, accept the comments or friend, observe the kudos increment in the new tab, close the tab. click my already open profile and refresh, the new kudos don't show for a period of time. that tells me i'm seeing 2 different databases

Posts: 269 1-Apr-08 7:24 AM	Alison, sorry I didn't see your question earlier. Ok, it's happened again. Yes, I have the big html block enabled, but I haven't added anything to it yet. You know what they say about the shoemaker's daughter ..... well, this is the webmaster's profile ... LOL Perhaps I was mistaken in thinking that the "comments" block is actually showing up to other users. Because I just noticed in my navigation bar that another comment had been added to my profile. (It was showing a (1) next to the 'comment' icon). I went and looked and sure enough another comment had been added. But then I logged out and looked at my profile, and the comments block is hidden. But I couldn't see any way for someone to ADD a comment, either. Am I blind?

Posts: 2497 1-Apr-08 7:55 AM munificent member I felt so automated	Check your kudos, BlueBird. I would be willing to bet someone gave you a kudo and left a comment. That is the easiest way to leave a comment with the comment block disabled.

I may need that one for my board If you click on the kudos number (the 51 on your profile) it takes you to the hall of fame page. Below the profile block is a link that says "Kudos for me" that tells you everyone who gave you a kudo specifically on your profile. The first person listed should have been the most recent person to give you a kudo and might be the person who left the comment.
