Any Ideas? Member can't post or send messages.. |

I have a long time member (essential catpurr) that all of a sudden
can't post on my board (Wildcats Playground) or send messages. She said when she tried to send me a message it will let her put in the title but when she
clicks in the box to type the message it does nothing. I have double checked all her settings on my board and everything looks fine.
Anyone have any ideas as to what might be wrong. Thanks

Hi,
Please ask her to enable the bbcode editor. This still won't allow her to send messages (this will be fixed in the future though), but she should be able to post. To enable the bbcode, click on account at the top of screen in the navigation bar. Then click on settings. On the next page, check bbcode and save the changes. |

Similar Issue | #4 | ||

I have a similar issue with a board member and have asked her to try this out. I'll let you know if it doesn't work.
In our case, the member can still send messages: she just can't post. This is the message she sent to me: "I can't seem to post on the new site. I can put info into the "title" box, but the body of the post never accepts my cursor. It automatically opens 'find.' " The board in question is http://theweirdusmessageboard.yuku.com/, and the member is http://creatrix.theweirdusmessageboard.yuku.com/. I don't know what operating system/ISP she's using at this point. Thanks! |

changing the type of editor she is using should also fix this. Let us know if it doesn't.

Looks like changing the editor worked for posting to threads.
I've since learned that she actually can't input text into the body of private messages: just the title (sounds like a similar problem to the above, where Chris says, "This still won't allow her to send messages (this will be fixed in the future though)"). She was somehow able to PM me by trying to apply for membership to a forum that's closed to all but administrators. Is there a fix going in that will let her PM soon? Thanks for your help. |

I don't have an ETA on that but I'll ask around.
Currently, when you change to a different type of editor, it only changes the editor on the boards where you post, not in the inboxes. |

Ok. I'll check back in from time to time to see if anything's been changed.
