I thought my world had fell in and it was the end but it all come good in the end. Just hang in there people and they will do for you what they did for me in your boards. There's not a single one of us that hasn't become frustrated at some point with the new things offered us with Yuku. I remember nine years ago feeling totally out in left field with ezBoard. I played with a practice Yuku board for nearly a year before I migrated my ezBoard over. You're most welcome. Know that there are many, many helpful folks here who shares their expertise and tips. Btw, Cedar and Marcha is the same terrific little lady.

Muddy (or Crabby?), if you think you're having a hard time adjusting, just imagine having your board moved out from under you and having to get a new computer and a new operating system and a new browser and a new e-mail client, none of which you know how to use, and at mumble-mumble years old when retaining new information by the carload isn't as easy as falling off a log. More like falling off the Empire State Building, actually. I don't mean to imply that you aren't having a hard time, only that it could be worse, and sometimes it is.

So cedar gets to be a hero AND a wonderful lady... someone wants a raise! I would counter the claim that any of you have been a pain in the arse actually. Coming over here angry and frustrated doesn't make you a pain or an annoyance. All of the people posting here have put in a huge amount of work to get to grips with this different system. You're all hero's too. Some people might not have made the effort. Others demanded that it be done for them. We've tried to make yuku's management as intuitive as we can. But let's face it - when you're used to doing things one way, a new system is always going to seem confusing. And if there are also migration glitches, then how do you know which is a bug and which is design. I do think reph is incredibly resiliant too, having to upgrade from a pre OSX Mac. I am sorry that we were not backwardly compatible with OS9, but browsers for that system just don't get developed anymore (other than iCab). I agree with your tech - my G3 laptop is slower on OSX, but since I don't use it for my day to day work it's not that impactful. I hope you're enjoying your new Mac though! I think all the admins who've worked so hard on their migrated boards, helped their users incredibly, and struggled to change the long term habits of how they do things in the control panel are all fantastic. You are the mortar that is holding in the bricks of this system.

Especially when you used to go left for something and now you go right for it instead. But the system has improved greatly since I first walked in (as an alpha on briteorb) and since I first migrated (Jan '07) and it just gets better. And I know a lot of that has to do with the input that we've given back to the Yuku staff about what we want (when we were still on ezboard and after moves), what we need (or think we need) and what we miss from ezboard that wasn't there. Glitches do happen - we faced it on ezboard and we face it here, and people face it everywhere online. No technological system is perfect 100% of the time. Even Google has downtime (whether it's planned or not) but they mask it better than most.

Last night I dreamed I was trying to answer the phone and I couldn't remember the password for it. I asked my husband, and he couldn't remember, either. Then it occurred to me that the password was a letter followed by a number, like G9 or something, but how to use it? Somehow the phone had pushbuttons and the old-fashioned rotary dial. I thought pushing the G button and dialing 9 might work. Uhhhhh.

I have new RAM in front of me, that I want to put into my computer, since CS2 is sucking the life out of my G5 - let alone what CS3 would do to it. But i have skype meeting with the guys in and hour and a half, and I have amendments do to for a client for tomorrow first thing. And yet I am still considering pulling the G5 apart FIRST!
