yes it is. But then, the latest announcement isn't particularly current either.
It's not a dynamic page you know, it has to be manually changed. |

Seriously if a Portal is fixed up professionally they look great and can aide those new users to the system. It has always looked cluttered and clumsy to me but then I'm used to that here. *wasntmethatsaidthat* |

 I think maybe I can stir up more action from the other side!
Ever found a tag that actually exists in the tag cloud on that page? I don't have a problem with the layout of the page. I wanted the page, I specced it up, James created the page, then I asked for some tweaks. Overall I think it's very good. But I expected it to be dyamically generated, and not all parts are. Some things I wanted added never made it in there (like a link to the directory page) |

I very much like the portal page as it saved me having seperate links to all over in my profile. Now I only have the one.
I have noticed that there hasn't yet been a link into the "General Help" forum on this board yet, which does need doing asap or people coming in from the portal will continue to post help posts in the now General Chat. "Recent News" need updating as the Portal Page is no longer recent news. I think in place of "Recent News" should be a feed of the Announcement forum. I think an Announcement feed is a must as many people go directly into a forum from the portal and therefore do not see that there has been an announcement unless they also click to go to the directory page. "Suggest a Feature" needs totally removing as for a very long time now there has been no thoughts of new features being added, so that is totally obsolete. I also agree there should be a link to the directory page. |

I don't work here no more 1) No, no, no I'm stirring you up to do it you always do top work. 2) There are tags in there, where? 3) No disagreement with me it looks great just outdated. 4) That was the word I was looking for before "directory" but you had me wanting to throw up my brekky so all concentration was there not on this. Alison, can we have a section on this page for James - don't ask me what at this time no ideas. And Andrew why not?

If you look at the top left hand side of the board you will see links click on the one that says "Support Portal" and that's the Portal page for
here. Glad you asked this Blue as I meant to say to Alison that these links are too incognito no one really sees them.

That was my thought. To permanently place it on just one of the many parts of yuk that James influenced would be a constant sad reminder. It's not the
right place for a memoriam.

then look for help button from here or bookmark them.

I go over there to grab the help ticket link when I post a message telling someone how to file a ticket. Otherwise, I navigate to the board directory page, or
I go straight to the individual forums via the Firefox Awesome Bar.
For someone who's new, however, the portal page would seem to be invaluable. As others have said, some of it does need updating. |
