Information should not be lost. Occasionally there have been glitches and some forums don't get transferred properly but we just re-import in that case. (Your ezboard remains intact after importing so it's easy to re-import to Yuku if necessary.)
There is down time during the actual import. How long depends on how big your board is. Small boards can transfer very quickly (a few minutes), very large boards may take an hour or more. Posts made on your ezboard during importation will not transfer. For that reason we advise not allowing new posts during import until it's complete.
Memberships move automatically along with the board. Emoticons are imported but skins are not. Skins have to be re-created.
