As a new feature, you're totally correct. Blogs can't be crafted and extended at the expense of the message board system. Since yuku IS designed to replace ezboard, then it needs first and foremost to fulfull the needs of the ezboard admins who are yet to migrate their boards over. We want to give people more features and elements to use and integrate into their communities, but the essence of yuku IS communities.

If someone has an active blog on another system, then in the future we might be able to import their data, dates and all into yuku. And if they want to start using their yuku blog before that is possible, all they need to do is put a redirecting link on their old blog.

The fact that they can't be moved from one profile to another (yet) is not really a huge issue either. You can't do that with most other blog systems.

"Board owners want new members, but how can we get new members if there is nothing to attract people that have never heard of Yuku or Ezboard."
Nothing to attract them? The content of your board should attract them. The people posting in your community should attract them. They will be attracted by witty posts, engaging discussions and meaningful diatribes. They'll be attracted when they read things that interest them and want to join in. To say that only a blog can interest people who've never heard of yuku is like trying to say that people will only read something that is relevant to them if it has been labelled with the correct name.

We'd love to see yuku become bigger than other systems too. But we also have network wide security issues to think about. Non registered users have been blocked from posting to prevent spam attacks. It may be that some options become available to blog owners to encourage replies, but they will have to be put in place to keep the security levels up.

We certainly will be upgrading the profiles, blogs and galleries in due course.

- Ability to change the date on a blog post. "
