you could always take the blog off your profile and use the main blog page like I do. It's not ideal, as the mini profile box is still there, but it's not buried at the bottom.

What will attract members here in the first place to search out message boards as apposed to other systems is the profiles and blogs. If people don't come onto the system in the first place how on earth are they going to do a search for a specific type of board.
Search engines such as Google are going to pull people in from outside of yuku if the content of your blog or your community is what they are searching for. If they find something that matches what they are looking for, they will come and read it.
My point is that at the moment the only people using Yuku are ex and present ezboarders and I am sure that those that own Yuku would very much like to see people that have never even heard of ezboard finding their way here and finding it so much better than other systems that they stay.
Of course we would, another reason for the strong SEO focus.

If Yuku aren't bothered with bloggers then why go to all the trouble of incorporating them in the first place. Of course they want bloggers.
Yes, we'd like bloggers to come and use our system - but bloggers are still secondary to the importance of communities. Yuku is not just any other message board provider, and neither are we a social network. We are about a network of communities, where one ID gives you a world of places to explore. We want to extend each person's own private areas into more exciting and adaptable areas too, but the main focus is still going to be communities. And right now, that is where developement is focused, and bug fixes are being worked on. As I said earlier, we will be placing more attention on blogs, galleries and profiles in the future.
Jeez, it's taking so long that understandably people are getting impatient. Waiting for the completion of the message boards it like waiting for the Forth Bridge to be finished painting, lol.
They are coding and checking, and we are getting closer to our goal. Speed and impatience can result in mistakes, and none of us want that. I am sorry it's taking a long time for you, but we will get there.
