Posts: 76 24-Oct-08 6:08 AM	I tried doing a search and I really have no idea where to post something like this (but it appears most ad complaints are in this forum so I might as well post it here). There's an Antivirus 2009 Web Scanner that keeps loading. It'll either: a) try to load on the forum page and make claims that I have trojans while my AVG is shrieking that this ad is trying to give me a trojan in the process: SCREENSHOT b) give me a simple pop-up where if I try to press 'x' to close it, it'll still immediately send me to its page (internetquarantinesite.com) where I'm bombarded with more stuff. SCREENSHOT Yuku is the only place where this occurs. Please look into it and have this ad removed from circulation. Last Edited By: Blue Green Gem 24-Oct-08 6:11 AM. Edited 1 time.

Posts: 1 24-Oct-08 6:18 AM	Absolutely! I got the same thing too, multiple times. It makes it really hard to be here. Yuku needs to boot the advertiser out. Yeah, they pay to run ads, but that doesn't make it legal.

Posts: 76 24-Oct-08 9:14 AM	They both occur strictly while viewing threads. The pop-up comes up out of nowhere in the middle of my screen. The other where it pretends to load and scan - they appear in the posts in the usual positions where the square ads are sprinkled. They just suddenly explode in size and take over the thread.

Posts: 2447 24-Oct-08 9:50 AM	If you are getting the warning message, are you able to scroll down the page to see which ads are on that page? It would be very useful for us to know which ad is causing it. Also, can you tell us which browser you are using (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc), which operating system (ie. XP, Vista, MacOS) and what your antivirus software is?

Posts: 41 25-Oct-08 3:24 PM	I'm here because the board I'm an admin at has received some complaints about this, I know one person said he had 3 .exe files that downloaded to his Mac, which having a Mac, it didn't hurt him, but I got the impression he didn't even CLICK on the ad. Please keep us advised as to what we can do. Another Yuku supporter who hadn't logged in had the same basic event. I'll try to get more information. Kind regards- rainbow glo

The ad tried to pop back up a few minutes ago while I was visiting the Brighton thread in the picture gallery, but my updated Firefox browser now finally recognizes this as an attack and has started blocking it with a warning message. On some threads there is a blank white box where an ad should be. After visiting one of these threads with a blank box, the ad pops up when you click to go to another page. I think that only those who allow popups from the site can see the malware ads. Windows XP on a PC, running Firefox 3.0.3"

Posts: 15 26-Oct-08 7:17 AM	Sorry for butting in here: But Antivirus 2009 is malware/virus in itself: I had this same notice come up: The way I was able to get rid of: I went into safe mode: ran Windows care/ Ad-aware/then ran my anti-virus (McAfee) If in which all is free programs, Then I went and downloaded Malwrebytes Anti-Maleware,. Posts: 15 26-Oct-08 8:21 AM	What I would do is do a goolge search, and Look for 2009 Virus scanner: When I had the keep coming up, I clicked to download this antivirus and wanted me to pay like 59 or 60 dollars. NOT, . I just went to those links that you posted and nothing came up on mine either. Best advise I can give you is go to goole and search antivirus 2009 scanner: Also I would download the programs that I mentioned: When ever I run my anti virus, or these programs I go and unhide all hidden folders, and go into safe mode (Always in safe mode) Sonja

I saved the html file onto my desktop (I wasn't taken away from the page because I stopped whatever it was before it could take me away from this page) to see if it would happen again. Instead, "Ads by Yahoo" appears in the ad spot no matter how many times I refresh it. EDIT: Oh, to answer the earlier questions: I use WinXP, IE6, and have AVG free. You have to use it to completely remove any traces of that malware. I had it on one of my laptops and installed the Spyhunter on all of my computers and haven't had any thing since. Its all free, also suggest you dump IE6 and go Firefox better security than IE http://www.techsupportale...om/pc/security-tools.html Put the site in your favorites it is too useful not to have it. You can do a scan from the freeware they suggest and clean your computer. Plus there are many other good suggestions there as well. Hope it helps Tony

I went to look at a thread on my board and AVG popped up 3 times, one right after another, telling me to remove the threats (JS/downloader.agent). I noticed that 'saazy.com' keeps blinking in the bottom left of the browser (I have it previously blocked via IE browser). Whatever it was had quickly refreshed the thread a few times. I noticed a big list of "Jump" on the dropdown menu of the Back button. I really can't track down the ads on that thread. Whatever it is, this virus thing is getting worse.

The only way I am able to close it is by going through the task manager and quitting my browser.
