Do you want to show or hide all of the posts on this community by Perry Spring? Now if I hide the posts, does that mean no one can see my posts? I searched for an answer, couldn't find it. |

The above example comes from a board I do not have any powers on.
On my boards, it gives me four options, two are ban and manage. I want to hide my past posts like I do on my profile. |

It's more than an "I don't like" this feature. It's a kinda security thing ............ Nooooooo (engages brain and thinking hat donned) 
Thinking more about it, it's only I guess (I think .... and I hope I'm right) on the particular board/forum that you are "on", so I don't mind so much I suppose. At least in your profile, your recent posts list is Yuku-wide which is why I like to hide (hide is a strong word, as if there is something to hide .... I prefer "choose not to display"  )

Same for me - I suppose if you are you then there's no reason to "interact"
Now you mention it, the "show recent posts" now has a value to me, to make it easier to see what I've posted before - I often lose stuff and have to search for it to see what I'd said 
So, hooray for Perry

What you see in the menu depends on your powers on the board.
Show/hide all users posts will show/hide all posts *on the board* made by this user. You can not see the option to do this if you are a regular member on a board without any additional powers. From a moderator/administrator standpoint, I love the My Recent Posts feature (when it works
 ).
I can see the flip side from the member standpoint, though. Maybe the compromise would be to offer a Supporter option that would remove My Recent Posts access from members while keeping it available to mods/admins. Note that the advanced search will replicate this feature, and I have to say that I do use it, even on boards that I don't moderate. For example, if I remember a which member posted a helpful message on a particular topic, but don't remember which thread it was in, I can generally find it without a lot of pain and suffering. Heck, sometimes I don't even remember where *I* posted things. |

I remember posts from staff saying that Yuku preferred not to offer paid features at the board level. It seems that they were concerned about the technical
repercussions of things going away if a board reverted to unpaid status.

The thing is though, the recent posts doesn't show anything at all to a regular member that they can't see when clicking on topics in the forums.
