Posts: 2185 6-Dec-08 11:01 AM Blog-a-holic	Mine has to be What a Wonderful Life. The reason being is that how true it would be if one of us had never been born. Each one of us does, even if in a minute way, affect other people in someway. Another reason is, that without fail the last 10 minutes always makes me cry. Posts: 2185 6-Dec-08 11:14 AM Blog-a-holic	Oh yes, that is also one of my favourites. Depending on which version I still get a chill when they prove he is Santa Claus. My favourite ending for that film is the older one when the Post Office brings in all the mounted up letters into the court that have been sent to Santa. With the newer version don't they prove it by the "In God We Trust" on the American bills??? We trust God exists with no proof therefore having no proof that Santa exists doesn't mean he doesn't exist.

Posts: 270 6-Dec-08 12:04 PM	Oh "Scrooge" has to be my favorite. I used to be afraid of all the Christmas Ghosts and cuddle up to my dogs when I was young but I still watched it! I still love it now! I have the really old one on DVD! The Miracle on 34th Street is my next choice! Not the remakes the original!

I even asked my Granddaughters just now about it and they have never heard of it either. I'm wondering if it's never been released in England or maybe it's just me walking around with my eyes shut. Scrooge. How could I forget to mention that one, lol. I must have seen every variation of it a dozen times or more. Including Scrooged with Bill Murrey. I found that one hilarious.

Posts: 76 6-Dec-08 12:29 PM	It came out in 1983. You need to see it! It takes place in the 40s and its about a boy named Ralphie Parker who only wants one thing for Christmas- a Red Ryder BB Gun. It may sound childlike but it really is a fun movie for the whole family. Jean Shepherd narrates. It's the only Christmas movie you need. Ever.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer (1964) featured Burl Ives as the narrator is one I like. Reminds me of a joke: Ever hear of Adolph the Brown Nose Reindeer? he runs just as fast as Rudolph but can't stop as quick.

My favorite part is when Clark loses it and has a cussing fit...I will leave that out for all your tender ears, lol...but then says something like hallelujah..where's the Tylenol. . I love it. I do also really like "A Christmas Story". I went to see it with my Mom and Sisters one year. Funny as hell. My favorite part in that was watching my Mom get shocked when they would say or infer bad words, lol. I will never understand why those things shock people or offend them...but I am always amused by their reactions. Scrooge I also like. It is one of those that always gives you hope...false though it may be.

It was hilarious. I don't think my girls have ever seen that so that's one on my list to make them sit down and watch.

I also enjoy "Holiday Inn" (Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire), "Miracle On 34th Street" (the original), and "The Lemon Drop Kid" (Bob Hope). Fer me these're like comfort food.
