I have read all I can find on making a Poll for my group, and checked all my settings on it and I don't have
a Poll button in my group, could you please help me find were I went wrong ...as I wish to make a Poll in my group....Thank You...Renegal59/ Owner... Old Farts

Hi renegal59,
Log into your Control Panel: Forums & Chat > Forum & Chat Mgmt > settings (on whatever forum you want to work with) - Scroll down to "Poster Permissions" and check "Enable Polls" The poll button should appear on that forum after. |

I have taken a screen shot of the settings I think you mean, there all on...but no Poll...Renegal59

Renegal59, your snapshot shows that you're looking at community-wide settings. Polls need to be enabled on a forum-by-forum basis (you may want polls to
be allowed in some forums but not in others):
1. click "Admin" (on the navigation bar) 2. click "Forum & Chat Management" 3. find the forum where you want to enable polls 4. click the "settings" link to the right 5. scroll down to the "Poster Permissions" section 6. select "Enable Polls"

AAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!
I have followed the above advice to set up a poll, when I click on create new poll it all works fine... however, when I click submit, I am taken to a yuku page which says I do not have permission to post in this forum! THEN when I go back to the forum in which I have enabled polls, the option to create a new poll has disappeared!!! am I doing something wrong?! |

It's a random error, it has happened in the past to people (including myself) it isn't anything you did wrong.
