I don't feel I should become complacent, however it can be tempered and utilize a different tact, some diplomacy if you will. The Id of my being is honesty, loyalty to freinds and being steadfast to my convictions.I have a mission in life, my purpose is to fullfil that mission, nothing will stop me from acheiving my goals. Right now my goal is to be happy through the holdays, no matter what.

My eldest sister said to me once "Why do you let that cat tell you what to do" after I had got up for the dozen or so times in the last hour to see to it's needs of wanting in, then wanting out, then wanting something else.

Posts: 1295 23-Dec-08 11:05 AM	hahaha yeah but after a while you communicate pretty well with them. My late big ole cat would bring his food dish to me when he was hungry. Was more like a dog than a cat. Taught him to play fetch with one of his toys. Everyday at 5 am within one minute he'd wake up and wake me up, he'd watch me leave sitting in the window and knew what time to go sit in the window to watch me come home. hahhahahaa

Posts: 2185 23-Dec-08 11:13 AM Blog-a-holic	I have a dog now. Haven't had a cat for many years. After the last one I swore never again. She got run over. With dogs one knows where they are at all times, but with a cat I used to worry myself sick if she wasn't in by 9pm which was her usual time for strolling through the cat flap. If she was even 10 mins late I would be outside looking for her. Then one day she didn't come home. First I knew was the chap next door telling me where to find her body. Never, never again will I have a cat as much as I love them. My Bayley (Yorkshire terrier) is company enough for me now. Although I wont have him for many more years as he is getting a bit long in the tooth now.

If I don't listen, she gets mad at me and then she totally ignores me for a few hours. It's really funny to watch. When she's out and I call her, I might as well save my breath, it won't help. I've known times when I stood there in the freezing cold, calling her name, then I'd look under my porch and she'd just be sitting there, two feet away from me, ignoring me. When I really need her to come in, I just go outside with a can of cat food and open it up. She knows the sound sooo well. That'll make her come running in a hurry.

It was sleeping behind my friend's car. He didn't know it, backed up and killed it. Knowing how much I'm attached to my animals, he didn't dare telling me. He buried the rabbit and I looked for it for days. About 4 years later, he finally told me, because he wanted his conscience cleared.
