I usually send a pm to a Yuku Team member.... I track him around Yuku, send kudo's from multiple profiles....
Do anything to deter their disgracing of Yuku. |

I've often wondered if capturing their spammage and sending off a complaint to the spammers ISP would do anything. Every ISP has an abuse addy, I'd say spamming someones board is definitely abuse. I guess it would depend on the TOS of the particular ISP the spammer uses. ::shrugs:: |

Abuse is a good word, and I have these links on my profile page that now are only visible to my friends.
I have the funniest story... On Christmas Eve, I caught a spammer on my board, I reported gim, and had em banned. Then I noticed they started a Yuku board to sell their wares, if you will. So I asked, what's gonna happen to this board? Well, I put in a ticket, and I own that board. LOL... It's MBA, but I watch that pending list... |

It isn't as easy as one might think.Chris, do you mean it isn't easy to get any action from an ISP? If so, I agree. I'm thinkin' not only does it depend on the TOS it also depends on where the ISP is located. If its' outside the U.S. it would depend on what country the spammers are/were located in. Filing a complaint with an ISP abuse dept. would probably be more of a "make me feel better" action than anything else. |

Many spammers use a program that forges their IP number. Reporting them to that ISP is useless because they're not even using it. Banning the IP number
may also be useless for the same reason, because they won't be using it the next time they drop by.
Some spammers get paid to post the links they post, so they have extra incentive to be persistent.
