Hey Chris and Meryl. I'm the admin of one of the groups Meryl can't get in to. In fact I just started a thread about this ... I didn't see her post
here.
Anyway, all her settings in the group member management are fine... she's not banned or denied access to any of the member forums. |

It tells me I am not connected to the internet, or I have the website address incorrect. I called my computer guy and he told me to call Time Warner about the
problem with Yuku. I have internet explorer through Time Warner. Up until 2 weeks ago I went into my favorites clicked on my group which is my dog group and I
was in. Time warner says it is Yuku blocking me. So they gave me the usabackdoor.us address to use which to be honest I do not like using. I can not change my
fonts or post pictures from my photo bucket. This is crazy. I remember dealing with MsN prior to them shutting down the groups and things like this happened
but then it was fine and it was not just happening to me. But it seems when I click on YUKU.com it is not allowing me into my groups. I can get into anything
on the internet but my various dog groups in YUKU. I do not know what is happening and it is somewhat annoying. If Time Warner can not find anything wrong it
is YUKU with the problem

Your regular IP is dynamic. The chances that a dynamic IP would be blocked by yuku are slim to none. I am not sure what is going on here, but let's try and find out. From our end, it looks like the last time you accessed yuku without a proxy was 3 weeks ago. Were you already with time warner then, or did you switch providers? This is what I'll need you to try. Try to access yuku via your time warner connection. If it doesn't work, go to this site: http://whatsmyip.org/ You will see the IP you are currently using right at the top of the page in big letters. Write down the IP somewhere and disconnect from the internet. Now reconnect and try accessing again. If still no luck, go back to http://whatsmyip.org/ Do you see a different IP when you go back there? Please don't post the IPs here, I just need to know if your IP was different to confirm that you have a dynamic IP. Also, while still connected without the proxy, try this: click start at the bottom left of your screen click run enter cmd into the box a black box will pop up type tracert www.yuku.com |

I am also getting the 401 Error message saying I am not authorized to access Virtual Viggo. I cannot get to the board at all, much less contact the admins or
terminate any thread subscriptions. My page acknowledges me saying Welcome LOTR Mom so it appears I am logged into Yuku. I even tried to enter Virtual Viggo
through a link from another web site with no luck.
Please help with this. Thank you |

I have a member (DeeDee22) that is suddenly unable to access our forum (http://wonderingsofwicca.yuku.com/).
It is a restricted board that one must apply to. She's been a member for a while and has 10 posts on the board, but today she says she logs in to Yuku,
goes to the board (she can see the threads) but when she clicks on a forum topic it takes her to the 'unauthorized to view this forum' page and then
sends her to her profile page. I went in and set her permissions to lead instead of default and had her try again, this is her response: "I am still
getting the error code 401 not authorized. I can log into yuku and it will take me to WOW, but when i click on a topic it gives me the error code and returns
me to the login page"
She is using Firefox as her browser, if that is helpful information. I've told her to submit a ticket so I'm hoping she does. Update: We had her restart her browser and now she can't log in to yuku. She says she logs in and it goes back to the log in screen. Update 2: Ok, it must be her browser and/or computer settings. I was able to log in as her and post to our forum. We're still throwing ideas at her to get her back into the forum, if anyone has suggestions for browser settings. It appears her firewall is the culprit. So anyone else having similar issues, try shutting down the firewall and see if you can connect. If you can, then the firewall is blocking access for some reason.

Thanks Over42 btw. At least I know I'm no alone. I tried to find Banned From Bidding for Travel" but the yuku search could not find it. Things worked for a while after BFT moved to yuku. But seems like yuku changed something and now the house is burning down. That - or the moderator of Bidding for Travel went insane. |

You may want to consider not subscribing to topics on that board, because that is what gets you the 401 page. Perhaps make a folder in your bookmarks and bookmark the topics you would like to stay current on? Your access has been restored. |
