401 error

Posts: 4 5-May-09 6:01 PM	Yes sorry it is an error message, first she was logging in and then it would say 401 error.. not logged in.. then today she is able to log in but can't do anything saying again she isn't logged in. So she can navigate the pages but not post anywhere etc.

Posts: 1 7-May-09 7:19 AM	I have been banned from Political Riff Raff (the 401 error) and I was never a member. I did however drop in and occasionally look at the topics. Now I cannot even look at the topics. I asked a person about it and they know nothing of it. What is up with getting banned from a group you are not a member and have never posted?

Posts: 4 7-May-09 7:35 AM	Ok, she did all that and is able to access the main page, general page and that is it. When she tries to view/open a thread or post.. she gets the 401 error not logged in, need to log in to access this page.. so she logs again and gets the same thing over and over

Can you please copy the ban message and send it to me via private message?

Posts: 1 9-May-09 11:40 AM	I am the owner of www.orcslarp.yuku.com and when I try to Manage Community I get an "ERROR 401:Unauthorized" message of "System Error: You do not have access to view this page." I do have several profiles and two have access to manage the community. Neither one is able to access for some reason. Thank you Chris for your help Jayson

Posts: 1 14-May-09 7:37 AM	I too have been banned in the last 2 days after accessing biddingfortravel for some time. I never posted, only read. First I was banned without explanation and then today by IP address. I set up a new account on a new computer and the same problem. I emailed biddingfortravel and no reply. Based on what I am reading, they are probably overwhelmed with this problem. Am I wrong or has this all happened since YUKI has become visibly involved making this a YUKI problem and not the forum's?

ADMINISTRATOR Posts: 1988 14-May-09 8:35 AM	I never posted, only read. FingerDesign, you did post at biddingfortravel on May 12. The profile with which you made that post (on the same account as your FingerDesign profile) was banned. Your IP address was banned at the same time. This isn't a Yuku issue. The biddingfortravel administrator banned you and only she can tell you why you were banned or lift the ban for you. She isn't obligated to explain why she banned you or even reply to your inquiry about the ban. As long as she isn't violating Yuku's Terms Of Use, she can run her community as she sees fit. We never intervene in board-banning situations except at the direct request of the board's administrator.

Posts: 1 14-May-09 2:58 PM	I was able to view prior without logging in. As soon as I tried to post I was banned. It was never posted from what I can tell. I doubt anyone had time to even read the post. I was asking for advice on hotels near Yale and there was nothing to be banned about. So how does one attempt to contact the administrator since I can't get to the forum to find who she is?

I've contacted the board owner and Admin at that board and they have insisted that they have NOT filtered me out. They stated they checked all of their settings and the Community Security area in the control center. I continue to receive this error message: Error 401 Unauthorized System Error You don't have access to this community I also checked my subscriptions and I do not have that board in my subscriptions in the navigation area.
