Posts: 470 14-May-09 9:43 PM	So, let's see now -- how long have I been a member of Yuku? Um, well, a long time anyway. And it was only just TODAY that I suddenly realized why people have been putting this VOTE image in the comments section of my profile. They have been giving me a kudo. All this time, I thought there was some sort of game going on where people were going around to various Yuku profiles and asking people to VOTE for them so that they would become #1 Yuku'er or something. Seriously, I think in the early days, I even sent some people nasty PM's telling them to quit wasting my time asking me to vote for them when I don't even know who they were or what they were running for! The only reason it finally clicked today is because I happened to give someone a KUDO, and then I saw that vote image in their profile from me -- and I knew I hadn't asked them to vote for me for anything. I really have to complain about that. That VOTE image makes no sense at all. If anything, the image should say KUDO, not VOTE! I would therefore like to suggest that Yuku change that image to say KUDO. Additionally, we should be allowed to just give someone a Kudo without anything showing up in the comments section of their profile. Thank you. Last Edited By: SciFiGuy 14-May-09 9:45 PM. When I first joined yuku and I saw the little vote graphics in the comments section of my profile, I didn't know what the significance of it was. I remember asking what they were voting for. That's when I first learned that they weren't voting for anything but giving me kudos. I am sure that new members are as confused by the vote graphics as I was.

Posts: 2134 19-May-09 6:02 AM Blog-a-holic	Originally if I remember rightly, when we gave a kudos, or vote as it once was, there was no way to leave a comment with it. The majority asked for the feature of leaving a comment with the kudos/vote and it was then instigated.

Posts: 2447 19-May-09 1:36 PM	Yes they can If you first click on 'kudo' to give someone a kudo, and then on 'cancel' for the editor that shows up, there's no comment, but still a kudo.

Posts: 2134 20-May-09 2:32 AM Blog-a-holic	This maybe a daft question/statement, but I am curious as to why one would want to give a kudos secretly anyway. Giving one secretly the receiver wouldn't know they had an extra one unless they are the type to keep a daily eye on how many they get. Surely it's part of the pleasure of receiving a kudos to know who has taken the time to give one.

At least, I don't think they can. You cant give a kudo AND send a comment at the same time without the kudo image being there - that is correct, but you CAN send a kudo (like i did to ya) then send a comment separately and bingo no kudo image. I dont really like kudo spelt ku do it looks like a kung fu do.
