Yuku free message boards

ezboard used to have a rule which stated that copying material from a post on one board to another was prohibited without the original author's written consent, but apparently Yuku doesn't expressly state that in its current Terms of Use.

Is copying posts from one board to another permitted or prohibited? I ask because I know of a board where this is going on.

Back at ezboard, Pam used to delete that material upon request. ezboard's Terms of Use used to expressly state that copying posts from one board to another was prohibited.

I am trying to understand if that is still the rule or not here at Yuku? I don't wish to make an issue with the person who is doing this if what they are doing is not against the policies.

Chris doesn't seem to state that it is prohibited. She seems to be saying that the general rule is that it is permitted provided that the original source is credited.

The question, then, is: Does the mere fact that someone writes something mean that it copyrighted? I don't think so. I think the copyright rules state that one has to state that the material is copyrighted, and include the current year.
