Posts: 1295 12-Jul-09 5:35 AM	Go to http://www.countryipblocks.net/malicious-internet-traffic/malicious-internet-activity-the-top-10-countries/ and copy and paste the IP numbers from the offending source.In light of the recent cyber attacks I would suggest blocking the Group of Ten.

But if I can nail them with the IP numbers, etc., I sure as heck will give it a go. They're now using the viewing to get spam to members pm's. I received 30 from the same one two days ago. Posts: 1295 12-Jul-09 4:36 PM	Should check with Chris on using wild cards to ban IP ranges, that would condense the list quite a bit. Actually someone should work up a condensed version of each of the Group Ten countries so its easier for admins to manage. The spam problems are only going to get worse and the cyber attack threat is real. The IP ban shouldn't tell the person they are banned, it would nice if it just gave them an error page, so the random trolls wouldn't think they hit a a functioning board and try ghost IPs.

And I going to do something. They can dish it, but can they take it? My restaurant is now open. These creeps are causing a so much grief by spamming Yuku. I have banned enough IP's to start a numbers game. I think if a net was put up, the vermin could not get in. I may need to send General Tso on a fact finding mission.

I had my admins box checked off to receive applications and they got hit too. So now I've unchecked that. They sent the whole shabang, (like me to Yuku as spam)........and I also sent in a spam ticket. Haven't heard a word back yet. But they could pm any of my members if they get roudy enough. My board's main forums are open, (but not to posting, only viewing). Still they can see the members there that are posting.

He had a different one, (a couple letters off the end), a couple days ago. However.................he or she was anonymous!!!!! I only have my mods and admins allowed to post anonymous!!!!!!!!!!!!! This guys is getting really annoying now. I'm still waiting for a response from the ticket I sent in a couple days ago. BTW, I've shown all posters for the last 6 hours now on my board. You don't see dimek among them!!! What's going on???

Posts: 112 15-Jul-09 5:17 AM	In the Administration section go to Banned List ...to View Banned IP Range ....put the partial IP number in the box that says: Banned IP Range ...It even shows you the wild card >>>> * <<<< to use just above the box. Then click Ban IP BTW, these guys are now coming on my board anonymously. It's making it a bit harder for me to catch them as fast as I have until after they did their dirty work. Isn't it a bit odd they can now use the anonymous feature???? I know.....I know they must have a board or are a admin or mod on one........still, they didn't do it this way before.
