I type a reply and when I hit post it keeps telling me that website can not be found. So, I tried to start a new topic. Same thing happened. I'm using IE8.
(It happens on all the forums, BTW.) Is this a bug?

This is strange. I posted a new topic LATE last night and got the message I expressed above. It finally appeared tonight on the board. UH???
I haven't checked on the replies I attemped to post that gave me the same message, but I was able to reply to another post a few minutes ago from another member, expressing the exact same problem she's had for days. She is also in the Southern part of the USA. I'm thinking it was a SE server issue, as my other members in the USA, UK, Australia and Bahrain were able to post. |

How weird is it that I can post to this forum, but not to my own board?
I can do everything else, chat, perform moderator duties, everything except post a new topic or reply to a post. I am using IE7 My ISP is AOL I cleared my cache Is there anything else I can try? This has been going on since Sunday. Laura |

Please feel free to make a test in the Scratch Pad forum at: http://www.thebigvalleywritingdesk.yuku.com I was able to post a new message there the other day, but that was the last thing I was able to do anywhere on our site. Oddly, as I said, posting a new message or replying to one are the only things I cannot do. I'm able to do everything else on the site. Laura |

oops sorry I had to make two posts, because the first time I forgot to use IE7, I used seamonkey. Both posts went through without a problem though. The second
one (yuku team) I used IE7
I am not sure what to tell you if you have already cleared your cache and you can do everything else, but given the type of error, I'd suggest you disconnect from the internet completely, wait a few minutes and then reconnect, see if that makes a difference. |

Hi Chris,
Thank you for testing the IE7 and SeaMonkey on the WD. I recleared my cache and cookies. But I still can't post from my main AOL screen. So, on a lark I decided to open IE7 and opened my board from the IE7 main page. I can post from IE7, but any images on the board are gone. I think I'm going to upgrade to IE8 and see what happens. I think the problem may be with AOL as it was last time I couldn't get when Yuku had done a major upgrade and it took AOL a few days to upload the correct files to allow AOL users to access Yuku boards. I'll let you know what happens. Laura |

I give up. Nothing is allowing me to post or reply. I don't even know if this reply will go through. All I've been getting is Website is unavailable. Same when checking out recent Friend requests on Yuku: Website is unavailable....then a list of ads that I could care less about. I'm adware, malware and virus free. And using IE8. Thanks for any help, Chris....as this has been going on for a week now. |

Well, I upgraded to IE8. I can post from it, but I have intermittent problems with the smilies and the pics. I move between the Compatibility View and they
appear and disappear, but with no rhyme or reason. BUT, at least I can now post from my home computer.
I still cannot post from AOL. But I have a work around which will be okay for the time being. Laura |

I wish I had your "work around", Opal. I'm reading on my board that a friend has died and I can't even reply, much less request the info I
need to properly send condolences. It's beyond me why one minute it was working fine, after upgrading to IE8, then I'm down to being able to do nothing
but read. Same thing I went through before changing the skin....which was the "blame" earlier. I'm beginning to think the skin was not the issue.
Something else is going on, for sure.

Judging by the IP it is AOL indeed. A dns flush may work (hopefully), but it is strange that you'd be able to post at support. Still, let's not let
dismiss the possibility.
MsRottie, when is your operating system? Laura, how much time approx. went by between the time you couldn't post and the time you could post again? |

I can post and reply again. Hooray!!! This problem began last weekend, Sunday afternoon, I believe and has resolved itself today. It also occurred the prior weekend. I'm hoping its fixed for good. I do believe it was an AOL issue and not a Yuku one. I hope Ms. Rottie is able to post again also. Laura |

I have someone having the same issue at my board. She cleared her cookies, rebooted, etc. and the new topic option and edit options are not available to her.
She uses Firefox to surf. www.myfunnyfarm.yuku.com
