So, if I understand, is this like the "local" and "global" handles on ezBoard? We can have a name that is "taken" on a board if
it's popular, unlike freezing up the name if one person has it?
I'm totally against it if this is the case. Bad idea. Very bad. I'm thrilled at being able to have a few of my names that I normally wouldn't have been able to have, but what makes them unique is that one person has them. Not multiple people! This would crash my entire forum. My members are roleplayers and we're very possesive of our account names. Plus, I've had people on other sites try to 'steal' my name for notoriety's sake - in one case posting very negative comments. |

Forgot to add:
When I was at this one board (forget which one, it was so long ago), someone else had a username extremely close to mine & I guess this wasn't a very nice person, bcuz I was constantly getting private messages from people who thought I was this other girl and they were nasty to me thinking I was her and I even got banned from some boards bcuz admins thought we were the same person. |

What if you had your yuku account & ezboard account merged? I originally had this account over on ezboards, but then heard about yuku and recreated my
account here & then eventually had the two merged together. Is that why my letter is a 'Y' instead of 'EZ'? (not that it really matters...
just a bit curious).
Different colored "lights" would be great. Especially if we could choose a color to go with the theme of our board/profile. |

Here goes:
Y is for accounts created in Yuku. Doesn't matter if eventually we manually merged your two accounts (ezboard and yuku) it means the account was created in yuku. (even if your ezboard account has the same name, many of us registered here in yuku very early on with the same user names) EZ is for accounts that were created in ezboard and migrated into the yuku system V is for a visiting local account (for instance michelle.support.yuku.com would show as L here but as V on other boards) L is for local account on that specific board. |

I don't like it because it might be unwelcoming to new people on my board. It is hard enough for new people to come into an established forum to feel
welcome, especially when everyone else knows each other pretty well. Now, all the "oldies" have the ez by their name and the "newbies"
have a Y. I hope Yuku reconsiders doing this.

You could always hide it with css. I think the following will work:
.user-name img{display:none} but check with skins.yuku.com to be certain (I just fiddled with it quick) |

u is part of the global url.
so a local account would be alison.support.yuku.com a global account would be alison.u.yuku.com and a global account migrated from ezboard would be alison.ez.yuku.com
