When will the delete member function become available? I need to remove two members, one of whom is the designated owner, although he dropped out a long time
ago.
Thanks Perry |

I can't confirm when that will happen. The ability to delete members needs some changes done so that it doesn't affect the topics that they've
posted.

I have an admin on my list that i didn't put there. we (the other admin i have put there, and i) didn't notice her on untill after the swich. now we
have no way of taking her off, atleast that's if i'm understanding this correctly. is there some way of deleating either just her or ALL of my admins
and then adding the ones i want on there back on?

Hi Miss Annie, you can demote her to member. Just click on the name and look right below the avatar. You'll see a button there "demote to member"
Click that and the admin powers will be gone and she'll be back to being a regular member.

When you click on her name, scroll down on the page to the forum permissions. Does it say "Admins have access to all forums", or does it show a list of your forums with the access permissions for each individual forum? Also, are you the owner of the board? If you are an admin and not the owner, you will not see the demote to member button. In that case you will have to ask the board owner to take care of it.

shows up on my profile as an admin but is not. i just noticed her when you said to look at the profile. she's not a member at all. my admin deleated her
account a while ago because she got a new one.

Ah okay. In that case you *should* see your demote to member button. As you don't see it, you might want to start a topic about this at the biug forum.
(The forum at the bottom of this board)
A staff member can look into it for you. Good luck and good luck with your board:) |

It seems to me that the new Member Management system isn't as good as the old one. Sure, its got a lot of bells and whistles, and I dare say they're
great, and I'll find a use for many of them. But its one heck of a lot more difficult to use than the old one. The way the old groups used to work was much
better than the new 'lists', or whatever they're called. It's essential to me that I be able to base security around the groups (or whatever)
I've placed members in - and without having to look at a Word or Excel document I have on my PC at home to tell me what group I placed the members in when
they joined! I could do this under the old Yuku system, but now we seem to have a system that's actually worse than the old Ezboard one, in terms of
usability, if not of features. It seems I have to manage everyone individually now, or at least click their names on a list - when I have no way of knowing
which names I need to click!
Why introduce a new system that's not as good as the old one? Is it going to work better eventually, or should I abandon my plans to migrate my Ezboard over? The new group management was one of the main things I was using to try and convince other members of my board to migrate - and now its gone. This is all very frustrating.

I have a question about the new member management and the MBA forums.
Is it possible to set a minimal number of posts before someone can apply for access to an MBA forum? I have a forum in which I only want active members to get entry to, but not automatically since they need to meet other requirements as well. Right now I am getting people applying for access even though they have never posted. So apparently anyone with a YUKU account can apply. But I just want them to get the former 'you do not have the right permissions to acces this forum' (or something like that) message untill they have a minimum amount of posts. Is that possible without setting it to invisible? Because I don't want my forum to be invisible either. (Because it's existence is a major stimulus for people to join the board and start posting) |

No, there isn't a way to set security off of post count. It would be an interesting suggestion to have in though.

"Is it possible to set a minimal number of posts before someone can apply for access to an MBA forum? "yes, but not without using invisible. At the moment that is how the current system works. There are updates in the pipes.
You could consider making a dummy forum to indicate that it's there, but is not clickable for example.

I didn't even see that. I was under the impression that there wasn't a way at all.
I need to play around with member management I guess. But then again, I have one MBA forum for memebers |
