Deleting forums/categories |

One concern on the administrative level I do have is as follows: I can "delete category" or "delete forum" by the press of one or few buttons and the forum or all forums associated with that category are instantly gone. Is there a way to make the delete function more secure such as asking for a security question or to type the letters watermarked in the box? This way it can prevent accidental erasures or in event someone gained control of my account and went button crazy or something.

So you think that the confirmation is not enough? Which is more important - your fear of someone gaining control of your forum, or your fear of an admin
accidently deleting forums?
If you do delete them, we can restore them for you. You can also set it so that your other admins don't have the power to edit or delete forums. A security question within your account would be slightly hard to maintain - where would you set that security question? Would you be able to see it and change it? And if so, wouldn't the would be cracker just have a look at it? And watermarked letters are used to prevent bots from signing up and spamming, and that doesn't seem relevant to forum deletion. It would be a human being doing the deleting, so they'd just type the letters in. |

So long as the forum and/or categories can be restored I can breathe more easily about it. I was using the delete function on my test board and it just seemed
way too easy to wipe certain things out as I may tend to have a habit of not reading carefully sometimes.
At least my username password could suffice like it sometimes prompts in ezboard when I made changes there. |

I tried to delete a forum and I didn't know it would be deleted right away without confirmation that we have in ezboard. I wish I am asked to corfirm my
deletion with a question like "Are you sure you want to delete this forum? Yes or No" before the whole forum is deleted.
