Are we always going to have the ads in our profiles? If so, could we at least be allowed to choose what types of ads appear on our boards?

I have this stupid spinning silver globe/Justin Timberlake countdown ad that has been stuck there for a couple of days....I want it gone. Any suggestions?
(for the most part the ads that show on my profile are unoffensive, and reflect my content, so where did this one come from?) |

It seems lately that the Google ads aren't pulling up off your content as they used. Tags are the best solution to making sure the content of the ads fit
your profile, but since they played around with ads on the boards a few weeks ago, all the profiles are pulling ads that are generic ads and not using the
tags.
Oh well, it's supposed to work, it doesn't... I blame Google :p Oh and that Justin Timberlake ad! Getitoffgetitoffgetitoff!!!!!!!!! (throws disco balls at the ad) Obnoxious ad... and I don't like Justin Timberlake... Go away Justin!! The ad actually goes OVER the boxes to edit in. I clicked on my box and the ad floated right over the edit box making it a bit difficult to edit...

The URL for this stupid ad offends me.... because it doesn't make any sense!! Future? That's like saying "Maybe someday..." Who thought up that URL? Or is it the name of the album or something? (I'm hopeless stuck at being 33 with no kids to keep me in touch with current trends) Because if it is... someone needs to talk to him or who ever though up that name. *starts a mini protest* *realizes she's loopy from lack of sleep* |

I was actually looking at some of the ads there before but now you totally lost an opportunity to show me others because JT has been plastered there for almost 3 days now. Please, you're advertising to the wrong crowd, at least to me imho, so what's the point? Also I still cannot edit part of my html blocks because the black JT ad is covering the left side asking, Do you love JT? Uh! LOL Where do I post my reply?(snark). I would rather pay a monthly fee than to have ads in my profile. Seriously. Would you offer something like that? |

And they haven't confirmed on the paid stuff yet. But there's been talk about paying to keep ads off of the boards and profiles. Nothing has been officially set down yet. |

PULEESE! I'm a Clay Aiken fan and I definitely don't want to see the so-called pop talent that is manufactured today and being passed off as
entertainment. Like Justin Timberlake -- I just DON'T GET HIM. He's definitely not sexy to me. Not like my CLAY, who is a real man in every sense of
the word--sexy without having to work at it or broadcast that he is bringing sexy back even tho Clay has), he's smart, witty, funny, totally gorgeous,
sweet, loving, charismatic, charitable, etc, etc--I could go on forever!! Please - dont advertise Justin Timberlake on the Clayboard

I don't like this either, and it seems to be something to put spyware on my computer too. I had it blocked (thanks to Firefox) but blew a hard drive, the
other hard drive will not delete the ad itself, but only the picture. So now anyone using my PC who sees yuku up wants to know what I am doing on a sex
website. If yuku is supposed to be the future of ezboard, those of us who pay for ez supporter should have the payment cover no ads on both ezboard & yuku.

I paid for ezsupporter to access the Clayboard. I shouldn't have to put up with yuku ads. And while I'm putting up with it, I don't want ads in my profile that doesn't reflect who I am as a person. |

To be honest with you, we've been 'putting up' with ads on profiles for almost a year now. This is the first truly annoying ad that's
been up. It used to display by content (search tags and posts and what was in your boxes, but mostly search tags). I don't know what happened, but that is
gone.
At this point of time all I really have to say is deal with it. At least it is not on your boards. We're still in beta, some things (even though you previously paid for it) you have to just live with. And that's why I'm not complaining (except in jest) about the stupid ad. And they have to pay for this somehow... and since this is not Ezboard... you've entered a whole new world of advertising. Hopefully soon it will go back to the Google ads that displayed by content. But Yuku has to pay for this thing somehow. Eventually we'll get the option for an ad free environment. Until that time, grin and bear it, Yuku is not Ezboard. |
