How do people who have 2,000 or 3,000 kudos find your profile to leave comments? Especially if you've never come across them on a board? The main way is you leave comments on others profiles ad people get curious when they see your comment(s) and click on your avatar to come and take a look. Someone tell me how someone has collected 10,383 kudos that has to be the highest number I have even seen.

I agree, Nan, it's more friendly here than msn ever was. I like giving out kudos too if something about a profile appeals to me. I never really bothered
about profiles in MSN....including mine lol. I don't think of it as rude to have a look at friends lists because people can choose to have them hidden if
they like, I'd click on an avatar if it caught my eye.

You know what? The original kudo's system was better. It was a rating of how many kudo's you actually received.
Kudo's and rankings mean 0 to me. You cannot put a number on friendship. I was happy to give our new friend kudo's, it is fun to show others you care about them, but in the end, acts of kindness and caring go a lot farther. I will not knock anyone who enjoys attaining a great number of kudo's, and personally, I love the messages I am left by my many friends. It shows they about me. And that is why I love Yuku so much. And all our friends from MSN will soon see what they were MSN [missin'}. |

And that puts me in mind of something. When I first joined, almost three years ago, February 27,2006 [Well, you remember your Anniversaries, don't you?} I
had zero friends and zero kudos.
All hose who joined Yuku later into 2006 got five default friends. I will never forget how concerned some of my members were when they saw they were friends with people they didn't know. We've only just begun, Yuku A board and lots of friends Kudo's for you And we're on our way And yes we've just begun..... Anyone got a Kleenex? |

OK Moon maybe rude was the wrong word. But I dont go through someone friends list just to give out Kudo's in hopes of getting some in return.
Oh I do the same thing if they are on the first page! Especially if they have a dog!

Dramma, it isn't that you necessarily have to earn them. Someone who likes your profile can give you a kudo. All you have to do is click on someones
username, when their profile page appears where you see the word "kudo" under their avatar just click on that and voila, a box opens up to give that
person a kudo.
I have given kudos to those that have complimented me on my profile page and others who have helped me with a yuku problem or just a new found friend.

Okay, for those wondering how to get kudos.
The fastest way, someone goes to your profile and clicks the kudos button under your avatar. You get one kudo. When someone requests to be your friend, you get 2 kudos. Each thread has a little button for kudos in the lead post. If you click that the post author gets a partial kudo (no one has told me what percent that kudo is, just not a full kudo) but ONLY the post author gets the kudo (so don't kudo a thread started by someone you dislike). Then there is some mystery way of gaining kudos that no one has revealed (I don't think it actually exists). So if you want kudos, have lots of friends who will click your kudos button and request to be your friend. You get three kudos in one shot for that. |
