I have been updating the help wiki, and my aim is to bring it all into line in the next fortnight (month??). But to make things easier to find, I'd like your suggestions on what simple "How do I...?" questions people ask, and are currently missing from this list. Oh, and another element you might have missed is the Glossary page. Suggestions for words for this page also welcome.

It would be really helpful to include information on how to sync one's ezSupporter dues to the Yuku account. I moderate on a couple of boards that have recently been migrated and this is a fairly common question. Thanks!

Posts: 18 31-Mar-08 8:43 AM	I have another suggestion... that is, I don't think it is in your help pages: How to make a link button... where you have an image you want to link back to your board. I would like to link my board http://ragdollsrule.yuku.com/directory with this image: so that someone clicking on the image is taken back to my board. These are the directions that are listed on your Wiki page that I thought would be the correct way to do this: To make a link from an image, first follow the image instructions above, then: click on the image you've placed. Click the link button Type or paste the url of your link into the first text area in the resulting pop up box. Click submit However, when I do this, it always tells me to "You need to select some text first." So, either I need to be pointed in the correct direction on your Wiki page, or could you add this to your list. Wiki is a wonderful find!

Posts: 1 15-Apr-08 4:21 AM	Hi there have been through all the How do I? pages on wiki & explored via my account but can't find how to totally close an inbox. It seems at the moment that this is either a well hidden or non existant feature on Yuku. I am a moderator on the Endo message boards & need the info for one of our members who can't cope with just blocking certain users etc as she is very ill & therefore just wants to close her inbox & stop getting PM's or sending them full stop. So I sent emails through the "promote your board" option, but I don't see any of them showing up in the "Invited" list under members. Help!

Click on any given topic. Look towards the left of any post, in a column where the poster's avatar and details are visible. Look below the avatar and you will see "reply" Click on reply and you will be taken to an application page. Fill out the application and send it. You will get notification in your yuku inbox once you have been approved. After you've been approved, you will be able to see the new topic button and post.

This will get their names on the member list and they won't have to apply.

I have had the same problem. By email. I had them visit the site and try to post in the Admin forum. Then I was able to approve the new member. The link at the top of the page is for new accounts and the new prospective members don't see the forums, that is only for signing up are for a new Yuku account for those who want to start their own community. It is very frustrating. They have a dedicated Register Here link.

Posts: 5 8-May-08 8:39 PM	I've taken up so much of Alison and Exstreamuser's time asking newbie help questions, so am hoping it's ok to post this here -- what I need is a step by step D.I.Y. guide to the domain hosting thing. I've read everything I can find at the Yuku support / help areas and can't locate a step by step that I can comprehend. What I'm wanting is to change the url of my board from: http://fascinated.yuku.com to http://fascinated.forums.com or something along those lines (the name of my board is Fascinated) Is that possible? If so, please walk me through it. Thank you sincerely (and thanks again to Exstreamuser, Alison, and the volunteer whose name now I cannot recall, for their amazing help, humor & patience).

Posts: 1 13-May-08 5:48 PM	Hi Just opened a board and a couple of people said I could edit their posting ids to remove the .whateverboard they signed up to just their id... like: abc.goofball to just abc when posting at the new board. I have looked at all the adminstrative memebr editing tools but don't see a way. Thanks.

For example I want to change the Public Forum Topic Title, but it says go to Menu Structure Preferences. Menu where? Then I click on the help link on this page and internet explorer can't find it. I'm SO frustrated, I promissed these poor people SOMETHING to look at, and I'm not getting there. Can ANYONE help. I want to change the forum name, add names and do a bit of fiddling, do all of yukus set up with these same boxes, with the same fonts etc? Help please????
