If they are, I get sent to a page saying:
404 Error Message: Sorry that topic was removed or deleted How can the post be moved or deleted if it was a brand new thread I was starting?????? I've been having this problem for a few weeks now. I am currently using Internet Explorer version 7, and I have tried both Mozilla and Netscape and have the SAME problem. |

As long as my post is only a few sentences long, it works no problem, but if I try to post more than that, I get the error message...VERY WEIRD...anyone ever
heard of this?
The forum that I'm a member on and having problems with is http://www.tryingtoconceive.yuku.com/ I'm now having to resort to splitting up my replies to peoples posts into several small posts...each containing only a few sentences.....just like I had to do to post this thread! PLEASE HELP!!! |

Are you using a word processing program like Word, or are you typing directly into the editor? Which editor do you have selected as your default one? (If you
didn't know you could change it then the wysiwyg editor is the default one). Which browser are you using and is that on a Mac or a PC?

Hi Cedar!
I am typing directly into the editor and am using WYSIWYG. I am on a PC and have tried using Internet Explorer, Mozilla and Netscape....and I have the same problem with all of them. |

Thanks Ransom! I took your last post there, copied and pasted it into the quick reply box, hit post and got the same 404 error message.
I really don't understand why this is happening or how to fix it???? What I thought was unusual was that I signed up for a brand news Yuku account under HeatherT2008 and I get the SAME error. Could it be a setting on my computer?? I have no clue WHAT to change and I don't recall changin anything in the last few weeks to cause this. The only thing we have done is install a new router, but I doubt that would cause this kind of problem????????? |

Hi Tachu!
I am using Internet Explorer 7.0 and my operating system is: Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 2 I do have a Norton Firewall, but I have not made any changes to it at all. I will open it up and double check my settings though, just to be sure. Thanks! |

I had the same problem months back and it had to do with my modem, my provider and it's connectivity to YUKU. Ended up I had to switch to a new modem and
the problem was solved. You wouldn't happen to be wireless would you?

Actually Kerwyn, now that you mention it, YES, we did just recently change to a wireless modem....however the connection that goes to MY computer is still a
wired connection (not sure if this matters though).
Tachu, I got your e-mail and I disabled my firewall completely and still had the same problem. I am using Norton Internet Security Version 2006...although my subscription is current and I run updates daily. I think I should try running a DIRECT connection from my internet modem to my computer and bypassing the router all together...that would at least confirm or deny if it is my router causing the problem. I'll post the results........ Thanks Guys! |

I'm having the exact same issue plus others. Just wondering if you ever got yours resolved, and if so, how?

Hi,
sounds like my problem too. Posting a short sentence or two is ok , longer articles, directly typed or pre-written (with Word/Wordpad) are not accepted. Apache Sever message: Bad Request Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Have cleaned the cache of my browser, checked &changed preferences at profile options, tried other settings (fonts, preferences) while posting a.s.o. but nothing helps. Any Help ?
Win2K SP4 Firefox (latest update so far) thank you
Edit: As my post worked here I just tried again at another yuku forum : nope, still doesn't accept it. Weird !? As I use a non-english keyboard (I'm from Germany), maybe an error with the keysettings while formatting ? Just an idea......

I don't think the keyboard could be at fault, can you test lowering any security settings temporarily?

@alison & Kerwyn
DSL Broadband. I'll check the settings....(in fact the only option I didn't take into consideration). Thx ;) Edit: Nope, no difference whatsoever .

I remember having some formatting issues with EZ as well - umlauts (ä,ö,ü) were not recognized or changed into substituted letters and signs (with a text that
has been posted long time before ) and the font was changing several times as well (ok , dunno if the board admins were working on the scripts that time) . ..
. Thats why I asked about the keyboard btw. : An (EZ/Yuku script) issue with the multilingual text processing maybe....
just my 2 cents , anything could help
@Ransom I just tried to copy and paste the latin text in the "staff testing" area...."Bad Request" even while trying to preview my reply. Last option is to plug off my router......more to come....

Hi me again
I know I'm not alone but (sry ) forgot to mention that I can't open a new topic as well (Error 401, Parallelperception Forum) . Forum Admin
confirms that there are no restrictions from his side and my account settings same as usual. As I#m used to answer to posts since all these bugs appeared, I
forgot about it.
thx |
