We have been using the "Shout Box" and after a post and then you want to post again I must "Refresh" the page in order for the post to go
through. The time was 7:45 PM http://consevativetable.yuku.com/
As soon as we Refreshed the post took. The other problem is have a new member proudgulfwarvet65 trying to post and he must refresh so the post takes these all happened around 7:30 PM west coast time. The other thing that noticed I just did a refresh and got no message. It say something about loosing text, so very strange.

I CONSTANTLY need to refresh to see new replies (I am using IE6 or 7, depending on if I am at home or at work, and my internet settings on all computers are
set to check for new versions of stored pages on every visit to the page).
A great example: This thread. I originally viewed it at about 9am EST (so what is that? around 6am Pacific?), and read the original post and reply #1. I just now (4:55pm EST - so 1:55pm pacific?) went back to the forum that the thread was in, saw that it now had 10 replies, and that the last reply was posted at 4:51pm EST (1:51pm pacific). However, when I clicked on the thread to read it, it still showed only the original post and reply #1. I had to refresh to see replies 2 through 10 (which had been posted between 10:22am EST and 4:51pm EST). -Christina |

Message length issue? | #3 | |||||
|
One of my members has attempted to post a long message (probably 80 to 90K) and only the first part - maybe 10% - was displayable afterwards, with the rest of
the post a very long blank space.
Is there a limit to message length? |

Perhaps I should add this here instead of the other thread...
http://nosediversstuntkiteforum21516.yuku.com/ Our entire forum seems to have cacheing problems. I can reply to a thread then back out after it is posted and I'm able to see it. Then when I come back after others have replied the category will show new but the thread won't show new unless I refresh. Click on the thread to read the new posts and even my post is missing. Refresh again and everything shows up with the new responses. |

Also having issues | #5 | |||||
|
We're having issues upon our issues, actually - the list is becoming longer and longer the more time I spend battling with this forced upgrade. Thanks,
Yuku, really appreciate having to deal with this today.
That said, my board: http://pastorwentzsnewextremedojo.yuku.com/ Is having issues with caching. Posts will appear, then disappear. A thread will show the most recent post on the front page, but then when you actually go into the thread it's missing. Then a post won't appear on the front page, but will appear when you open the thread. Hitting Refresh seems to have no bearing whatsoever on a post appearing or disappearing. ETA: Posts were make between 11:00 am and 12:00 pm. |

For what it is worth...I am having the same issue with Posts not appearing. This is on IE 7 only. I have no issues with FireFox. On IE, however, I have to
constantly refresh and it randomly puts the New Marker back up even when the post was from a previous day. It also won't recognize changes, such as posts
moved, etc.

I'm only seeing this Refresh problem using IE6. No refresh issue with Firefox. Can we get an ETA on this fix, please? |

Having the same problem on multiple boards. Feel free to PM me for links.
Manual browser refresh (Firefox 2.0.0.12/Windows XP) is required at the top level as well as individual posts. Other users are reporting the same issue. Also, using quick reply only showed the first two replies in the thread after posting, rather than the six that were actually there. |

In addition to the refresh problem everyone has listed here, I have a tremendous problem with cached pages. (I use IE6.) This morning when I logged on, I
viewed the board as it stood on Friday at 5:30pm. Often a manual refresh after I post will send me back 2 hours or more.
This problem is worst when I'm at work connected to my company's network (as I am now); it's less bad if I'm connected to my company's network remotely and best of all when I'm elsewhere (but it still happens). |

I'd edit my own post but it'll be a few hours before I can see it. The refresh/cached pages problem extends to ALL Yuku pages: my profile, my inbox,
all boards etc. Getting to read an inbox message is an exercise in perfect timing. It's maddening.
I do not have these problems on the ez platform, or anywhere else that I notice them. |

Refreshing does not help me. Sometimes an entire day seems to have disappeared from the threads. Earlier this morning, looking at home, I saw posts for today,
Feb 14. Then I check again hours later from the office, and there's nothing past Feb 13.
I have made a post and had every post for the past day (everyone's, not just mine) disappear. Then I post again and they come back. This is a constant problem. |

Hermione, have you tried a CTRL F5 refresh? The regular refresh, as in using the browser refresh button or just-plain F5 without holding down the CTRL key,
doesn't work for me at all either. But if I do CTRL F5, the page actually refreshes.
Again, can we have an ETA on this? Or at least an assurance that QA is aware of the issue and has assigned it for fix? It's a minor issue, but MAJORLY annoying. |

Can all people experiencing this contact their ISPs and asked if they do server caching?

I don't believe it is caused by an ISP's setup. I have this problem on my work, home, and even random wifi hotspot access points. Not sure about the
wifi points but I know my work is Verizon Inc & home is Road Runner. It isn't a problem with any php, snitz, Vbulletin, etc forum systems. It also
wasn't a problem on the EZboards, just Yuku. I don't think it is browser related either. I use Firefox and this is still an issue. It seems to stem
from a caching problem while you continue to stay signed into the forum.

A little off topic as this is not about messages on boards, but I get that page(page can not be displayed) if I want to go to my personal profile or my email,
I have to reset my wireless browser to gain access although I can veiw everyone else personal profile page but mine...this is a pain. No one on yuku can seem
to help me with this week old issue. I have had several members of my group experience the same issue...And also tonight one of my mods lost a post on the
board...it is no where

Some code changes were made, has anyone experienced improvement?
JR Brewing, that's not the same thing. Please create a new topic and be specific about the missing threads. Provide urls of where they had been if possible. PamelasAngels, that is also unrelated to this. If you're still having that problem please post in the "Cannot access" topic |
