We paid to be ad free but members and visitors are seeing ads at our board. What's up with that? According to my admin panel it says: This community
has 180000 Ad-Free pageviews left.

Are the people who are seeing ads all people who are not logged into yuku accounts at the time?

No, one is logged in. Then I went over to firefox where I was not logged in and lurked and I could see ads.

I'm logged in on an 'ad-free' board and I can see the ads.

Also, communities that are supposed to be "Gold For Life" also seem to have gotten ads.

We are having the same problem at http://cassiopeia.yuku.com
(Server 2) I don't see the ads because I have supporter. But my admin, and my moderator, at least, can see them, and they are both not only logged in but posting in the MBA board about it. Al;l of my people have to be logged in to visit my board, so that is not the issue. 
Despite people being able to see the ads, the supporter counter "page views left until no longer ad-free" is still counting down.

A script has just been run to ensure that any member settings that were on "view ads" have been changed to "hide ads". This should update
soon, and then your members will not see ads.
Unregistered visitors WILL see ads however. |

Unregistered visitors WILL see ads however.No way!!!!! This sucks big time and make no sense at all...I pay for the FORUM to be ads free...not just for those who are registered and loged in. People who visit a forum and see ads might run away because of it (I would run away for sure myself)...they don't have a clue the ads will disapear when they register. A lame Yuku trick

I'm actually okay with the unregistered members seeing ads. It helps me out in the end. I'd like to see a way to manage the members that see and
don't see ads. (At almost 14K page views a day, you understand why.)
So for instance, anyone under 500 posts on my board would see ads. Jenn |

On the one hand, I'm with xwpweb. I think anything that helps keep the page views down for my actual members (rather than casual lurkers) is a Good Thing.
But then, my board is set to "Registered only" so it's a moot point in my case. On the other hand, People pay for Yuku supporter so their experience is ad-free, and we pay for Gold so the board is ad-free. Unregistered viewers (mostly, probably, new to Yuku as a whole) seeing the ads will not know that they're actually in an ad-free community and therefore the ads become a disincentive to join up. Long term, not a wise business decision for Yuku. Perhaps the script for "no ads here", in that case, needs to be set from the board's end rather than the user's. |

I don't see ads, my mod doesn't see ad's, but my logged in members do see ads.
But I thought maybe this was happening because I needed to 'subscribe' to Gold Board or something?? But then the link I had seen for that has disappeared... I also noticed my 92 days of Ad free have been changed to 90000 page views... why is that? And why do my members see ad's when it now says: This community has 89952 Gold Ad-Free pageviews left...? your board is over the threshold for gold on a per day basis. Larger boards count ad page views instead

If I knew that unregistered guest would see the ads I would not of paid for a gold community. Now you owe me a day without ads, since you had the ads on today
for anyone to see.

This is what I see on my board and this is what I payed for. Yuku can't change an agreement afterwards...that's illegal. So....don't even think about changing it

How can you put ads on a paid board and get away with it? There has to be a law against it, false advertising, bait and switch?????
I'm not paying for an ad-free board with ADS. WHAT THE H-ELL IS GOING ON. |

Ad-Free CommunityNo banners, no text links, and most importantly, no pop-ups! All users enjoy ad-free browsing when visiting your community. It says all users not all members. One reason for going gold is to attract members to a board without ads.
