Posts: 17 3-Mar-08 8:55 AM	Tags : fixpending Sorry if this is listed elsewhere, but I searched and didn't immediately see a similar topic. My board seems to have a problem in making stickied topics stay in place. They stay 'stickied', but they shuffle up and down depending on posting activity. This isn't good for our board, as those stickied topics really need to stay 'in place' no matter how often they're posted in. Hope that makes sense... Posts: 946 3-Mar-08 4:09 PM munificent member	As you've noticed, stickies currently bump to the top based on the most recent post. Good news, though: static stickies (stickies which remain in place) will happen with the next major push.

Posts: 35 21-Aug-08 9:26 PM	I know this is an older topic, but I cannot find the newer ones that discuss this problem. What is the status on making the sticky topics staying in the order we want? They still bounce around whenever a new post is made.

Stickies made since the push should be static, so if you have old ones, you could just repost and stick them, that should make them static. I found that it also worked with old stickies when I added one new sticky to my forum, and then I unstuck and restuck the old ones. That made them static too if I remember well.

Posts: 35 22-Aug-08 12:07 PM	I unstuck all of the topics and once and restuck the topics individually. However each time I restuck one, it moved to the top of the list instead of below the previous stuck thread. They should be able to be placed in the order we want them like it was before. Its not just happening on my board, but on another one as well that I am helping out with. I tried posting in a thread, and it did not move the topic up on the list like it previously did, so that part is good now. If we could get the topics to stay in the order we wantr them WITHOUT having to resticky them each time it would be even better.

Posts: 7 22-Aug-08 1:11 PM	I found that if you stickied the threads that you want in reverse order, then they stay where you want them, in the order that you want them. Worked for me anyway.

Worked for me anyway. That is true. But if you make a NEW sticky it goes to the top of the list. If thats not where you want it, you have to resticky all of them in reverse order to get it where you want it.
