Migrated w/one board a few mths ago, hated it....now my 2nd board got moved..... |

and I'm trying to be patient, willing and accepting, but there is one "feature" that my community is really hating aftering using ezboard for
EIGHT years and being used to it's features. How the heck do we stop the posts from moving around when someone replies to them?? We want them to just
stay put and not move....I found an option to not move the polls, but no such option for regular posts? HELP!

Community Settings Display Preferences check the box by Edit/Vote Updates Topics: editing a topic or reply or voting in a poll bumps the post to the top of a forum That setting covers topics and polls. |

wouldn't I want to keep it "unchecked" so that posts don't move? It doesn't seem to be working.

I tried it both checked and unchecked and both posts that I replied to moved to the top of the board.
Anyone else have any ideas? This "feature"
is really bad for a community of 18 moms that have been together for over 10 yrs and rely on this board as our communication/interaction place to keep in touch
daily...posts moving all around isn't making it easy for us.

This is just a patch, not a solution, but you might try breaking your board into more forums so each forum would have fewer threads. Or pin your most popular
two or three threads to the top so they're easier to find. Or do both.

Thanks Reph for the suggestion, unfortunately, it's not an option with the way our board is run and used. Still hoping someone from the staff will give me
the right answer! But again, as when my other board was migrated a few months ago, I'm sure I'm "out of luck".

Sorry you are running into problems. You might want to go ahead and put in a "Help Ticket" and make it an official request. (Or the real Help Forum!) Support is pretty good about checking this forum - but it is the Lobby... Once they know - they are usually right on to it! |
