Posts: 8 10-Mar-09 10:02 AM	I have tried several times to access our chat room that I have created and keep getting the same error message : I have cleared the cashe, temp files, etc. and no luck. I have deleted the room, re-created it and still get the same message. I have never been able to access any of the chats I create in our private community. http://crafterscrossroads.yuku.com/ I am the owner of this community. Am I doing something wrong ? Please help !

Posts: 8 13-Mar-09 7:58 AM	I'm using McAfee Security Suite and can't find where to access ports to open them (TCP 51227 + 51228) to allow chat to function. I have even tried signing into Yuku, using another I.D., have tried turning off my firewall too, no luck, still can not access chat. All regular members of my group can access the chat, just not I, so it must be in my settings somewhere but I do not know where ? Last Edited By: Slatepainter 13-Mar-09 11:04 AM. Edited 2 times.

ADMINISTRATOR Posts: 13730 13-Mar-09 5:31 PM Yuku Help	I don't use McAfee so I'm not sure here.. first, are you using windows firewall or your McAfee firewall? I think to open a port you got to go to start -> programs -> mcafee firewall -> control internet programs. I'll see if I can find someone who uses McAfee because I may just be rambling here

Posts: 8 14-Mar-09 8:52 AM	I think I have found out reason for Yuku Chat problem. The router supplied by my ISP will not allow more than one computer at same address (router) to access Yuku's Chat room at a time, regardless of TCP settings used. I have two computers on this home network, using same router, and it looks like both users will not be able to use yuku chat at same time, unfortunately. Thanks for your help. Slate

Both computers are networked through the same DSL Router, so it can only recognize one user at a time. Thank you for looking into my problem, but I think there is no solution for me at this time and we can call this issue closed.

Posts: 1 9-Apr-09 10:07 AM	I cannot access any chatrooms through explorer but can get in with firefox. I would prefer to use explorer though. I get this message. First - Skin "clean" resource is missing - and then - !!Connection failed! Maybe your network can't access the server, or the server is under maintenance, please try again later!

Posts: 1 13-Apr-09 9:21 PM	I'm having trouble accessing the chatroom on the community my friend just set up here: http://writerchat.yuku.com/ I'm on a laptop that uses Windows XP. I have tried from both Firefox and IE7, and have the latest Flash player installed. I opened the two ports mentioned previously in this thread in my firewall, and cleared my cache. Still no luck. I get an error message that says "!!Connection failed! Maybe your network can't access the server, or the server is under maintenance, please try again later!" half of the time. The rest of the time, it says "Loading Settings" and seems to be doing so, but just keeps loading without the chat ever opening. The owner of the community deleted the chatroom and set up a new one, which had no effect. I have tried for a couple of days now to get on the chat with no luck, but the owner of the forum is able to get on without a problem. Please help. Last Edited By: bhoney 13-Apr-09 9:27 PM.
