Search

You can use the Yuku Search feature to find topics that interest you on your favorite Yuku communities. The search feature is located on the top right hand side of the message board.

Search for Yuku Communities in the Navigation Menu

You can search for Yuku communities from the Navigation menu. To use the Navigation menu search type your search words in the ;community find' text box in the right hand column and click the Go button.

Using Search in a Message Board

You can search all of the text in a message board, in a forum or a thread. To do these searches all you need to do is type what you want to find in the board, forum or topic in to the search box at the top of the board, forum or topic and click the Search button. If you are on a board page your search will cover the entire board. If you are on a forum or topic page your search will cover the forum or topic you are in at that time.

Currently the search will not look for words of 3 letters or less, so you will get no results if you search for "css" for example.

You can expand your searching with several additional controls. Using a + will ensure that all results contain that word. Using a - will ensure that all results will not contain that word. For example:

style code
will search for all topics with the word style OR the word code.

style -code
will search for all topics with the word style, but NOT the word code.

style +code
will search for all topics with the word code,including any with the word style.

+style +code
will search for all topics with the word style AND the word code.

Advanced Search

You can now search communities using the advanced search, the link to which is found on the main page and in forums above the normal search box and button. (the topic search works only within the topic, and is subject to different search functions)

The advanced search allows you to select which forums you wish to search in, to use keywords or search by username, and to be specific on the time frame in which you are searching.
