OK, so is this the same issue that I and others posted about here?

I'll try removing the image tamer and see what happens.

Incidentally, would be interesting to know what browsers as well because I have an impression that it only happens with IE6, which explains why some users only see it. I'd also say it's just happened recently, though I can't tie it down to an exact time, so perhaps it's a result of an IE6 or a Yuku update. The earliest instance I know of is 1 March.

Edit - Having resized the images manually and removed the image tamer, the one I couldn't see in IE6 is now visible again. I've messaged those on my board that were complaining to see if it's cured it for them.

There are other ways of resizing images but they're a pain.

The easiest way is by clicking on the image in edit mode - you'll see some grab handles (little squares at the corners and sides of the images). You can click and drag these to resize but unless your eye's good it won't resize proportionately.

The method I use is go into edit mode (WYSIWYG editor), click on the html button so you're editing the HTML itself, and you'll see the images as either

<img src="http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx">

or, if it was posted using the BBcode editor

[IMG ]http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx[ /IMG]

where http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is the URL (internet address) of the image. You need to get rid of any BBcode and put in a width, so it looks just like this:

<img src="http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx" width="640">

Same brackets, quote marks etc. Replace the 640 with the width in pixels you want. The browser will then resize the image on the fly and keep the proportions.

For example, the Honda monkey bike above would be:

<img src="http://www.68customs.com/ctonblack.jpg" width="640">

Images that have already been resized by the image host may show a height and width already - if they do, delete the height and correct the width to what you want.

There's another bug with the image tamer; it doesn't resize images proportionately if they've already got a height tag. Chris is going to push a fix for that soon, so hopefully he can sort this problem at the same time.

Edit - I've had confirmation from the three people I mentioned in the other thread that the issue has cleared up now I've removed the image tamer.

I've only seen it with IE6. I suspect it's a combination of factors causing the trouble.
