Editing posts removes member signatures

Posts: 126 15-Mar-08 2:05 PM	Tags : fixpending, post, removes, member, signatures, edit This is a bug we noticed a while back and figured it was just a glitch that would work itself out. (Funny of me to think that, but anyways...) Whenever moderators and admins edit a members post on our board: http://xena.yuku.com it removes the signatures from member's posts. Posts: 26 15-Mar-08 2:11 PM	Just wanted to add (I'm from the same board) that this only started happening about 2 or 3 weeks ago -- prior to that the sig would stay in place if a post was edited by a mod/admin.

Can't answer your problem but would like to ask. I notice you have 118 Xenites not 118 members. How did you get the word Xenites to show up. Where is that change function located in the admin panel?

I'm not sure how this works with the Quick Reply feature since I don't use it on my board, but in the Edit screen beneath the Shortcuts description and Tags box is Post Options - it defaults to Don't Use A Signature and your member's sig will remain in place if you leave the setting as is.

Posts: 2762 15-Mar-08 9:19 PM munificent member I felt so automated	That's the way it has always worked. If anyone but the original poster edits a thread the signature is removed. It's been that way since day one. If it wasn't doing that on your board... that was a bug.

Posts: 126 16-Mar-08 12:18 PM	There's a function called: display preferences in the admin control panel--you can change all sorts of things there... Well, personally--it shouldn't remove the signature---that's annoying.
