Skins...gone! |

My directory page is ok but when I access any of the forums, the skin is gone. everything looks changed. All the page is white.
I came here to report it and this forum looks the same way.....  is it me? or its a yuku bug?

Whenever you go to a forum or profile or mark forum read, the background skin is gone, as well as the lines, etc. and there is a white background and the font type is huge. If you hit refresh, it will go back to "normal", but it then goes back to white with no "lines" etc., in the skin.

Happened at mine as well and also these help forums are doing it too.
I made a thread right under this one a while ago http://support.yuku.com/topic/8241 If you use Mozilla Firefox browser these issues don't happen. Windows just updated everyone with service pack 3 for XP users, not sure about Vista or any of that but tell your board users to use Firefox for now until it is fixed if they do not use that. Occasionally I also get a popup ad here and there on a paid for board. *shrug* i think the real problem is (just a wild guess) that the Yuku tech team uses Macs or something.

Well iffin anyone cares I was using IE6 because i tried IE7 last year and did not like it. BUT I use a windows based browser called Avant browser and obviously
just found out that with IE6 the Yuku boards look messed up like i posted about here.
Now i downloaded and installed IE7 and told it NOT to be my default browser so I could still use my Avant browser which I love ..... now the problem is fixed. it is IE6 so i recommend dumping it and going for the IE7 or doing like i do and that is to download IE7 and not use it with you going to your regular non windows IE based browser. it should do the tricky for you. |

I'm receiving the same white pages too at talkyourtalk.yuku.com ! I use IE6. I'm sure they will get these issues worked out soon.

for what it's worth, i have ff and had the no skin issue yesterday at many sites here,,,including the skins board. i also have opera, avant, and ie6.
personally i don't think it's browser related at all as several members at our board were complaining about no skin white screens yesterday. today
seems fine tho

This is beyond ridiculous. Yuku needs to ensure that their system works properly with ALL browsers.There might be some misinformation in this topic. It is not an IE6 issue. See reply #12 by Lasher. I used firefox all day yesterday and I saw two of my own boards with the skin stripped. No answer yet from the Yuku Staff?The original report was made 15 minutes after the guys in the office had gone home for the day. It is now 7 AM in SF and nobody is in the office yet. The reports have been noted and will be conveyed to the technical staff when they get to the office. |
