Banned member came unbanned |

A member who was supposedly banned from tinnitussupport92262 posted today. The admin log doesn't show that this person was unbanned. He shouldn't have
been able to post. The post is the hidden one in this thread: http://tinnitussupport92262.yuku.com/topic/5756 , which is a copy in a private forum. The original thread was on a public forum.

the admin who previously banned him did not give him a permanent ban, if you look at his edit page you will see that stated in his notes.

I wonder if it had to do with the fact that the date stamps were off yesterday after the move...

He was supposed to be banned until July 15. We intended to lift the ban manually at that time. In any case, it isn't July 11 yet, the date in the notes.
Where is the edit page with a banned member's notes? We keep memos about bans in a separate forum, as we did at ezboard. |

just click on any member's name from the member management and you get their edit page.
I didn't think that the dates of the servers were off by that much yesterday that they jumped to past July, so I didn't think that was the answer to the ban not working. Although I guess it could be. I haven't spoken to a tech about this yet however. |

Evidently some glitch at yuku unbanned the guy, whether related to the server move or not. In this circumstance, would a message saying his ban had ended have
been sent to him automatically? We need to know whether he had good reason to think he was permitted to post again.

I tested on this not too long ago. If I remember correctly, when the time on a temporary ban lapses, a message to say that you are no longer banned does NOT
get sent.

Thanks, Chris. That means he was just presuming.

By the way, why does this thread have a thumb-up posticon on the forum page? I didn't use one when starting it. Possibly a side effect of moving the
servers?

I did a whole lot of editing yesterday, so it's quite possible that I did this one thinking I was in a different thread by mistake.
