Posts: 15 18-May-08 5:45 AM	Tags : resolved Guys, after ezboard has become yuku (without leaving much choice for the admins and users, mind you) it now seems as if the old ezboard forum URL don't work anymore now. Needless to say that this is a real problem. Thousands of users will still have their old bookmarks set to the ezboard URLs which now go to a "page not found" error page. My community which was founded 5 years ago had the URL http://p092.ezboard.com/bdsia and until a few days ago would still redirect to the new yuku address at http://dsia.yuku.com. Now it doesn't work anymore and I already received more than 30 emails of users asking what's wrong... Any info on this? Thanks Ole Last Edited By: alison 21-May-08 8:01 AM. Edited 1 time.

Posts: 1116 18-May-08 6:00 AM	Looks like ezBoard has gone down at the moment. I would assume that when it comes back up, the redirects will resume working. I would assume this won't be long as it is system wide.

Not all of ezboard is down (e.g., http://p098.ezboard.com/bbugs, http://p088.ezboard.com/bcc), but at least 3 servers are not responding, including p092. A technician has been paged to investigate that problem. Once p092 is back in service, links to the board's main page should begin redirecting to the board's Yuku location again. If the redirect isn't in back place, please let us know and that will be fixed. Even with the redirect in place, I would want to tell my members to be sure to update their bookmarks, and, where possible, ask referring websites to update, to the correct Yuku URL.

Looking at all the ezboard forums on a global level and old links/bookmarks it must be a number in the millions. Probably worth the effort to keep the old link redirects alive for a while... Ole

Asking over 400 partner websites to change a link is quite an effort mind you. That's why I said, "where possible". ezboard > Yuku redirects will be kept in place for the foreseeable future.
