There is currently no way to delete a community.
If you have a board that you no longer want, you have several options.
Close the board and leave it unused
You can close a board by removing all content or closing the forums for posting.
These are the basic steps to take:
1. make your board unsearchable (Admin > Community Settings > Search Settings)
2. change the board name (Settings) to something like "Delete", "Board Closed" etc.
3. replace the skin with a Yuku library skin. This step is important if you have made your own skins and don't want to continue having bandwidth drain on your image host. You may wish to delete all your custom skins. If you ll want to re-use the skins elsewhere, use the export button to save the code to your computer first.
4. turn off the Community Profile
5. remove your contact information if it is displayed on the board
6. demote any administrators or moderators to members (otherwise an admin can re-open the board later)
7. clear the member list (you can leave the support account there)
8. if the board is MBA, you may want to remove MBA or at least change the message to show that the board is closed. This way you won't continue to receive application requests.
9. disallow contributions
Transfer ownership to another user
You can transfer ownership of a board that you no longer wish to own by opening a Help Ticket (select accounts). http://helpdesk.yuku.com/
This is the information you should include in your ticket.
1) the url of the board
2) the profile url of the new owner. The url to the profile is better than just the name as there may be a local profile with the same name or the person you want to have your board may have a local account and there is a global account with the same name. You want to be sure that ownership is transferred to the right person.
3) the answer to the secret question on the current owner account. If you haven't set a secret question yet, set it by clicking on 'account' in the top bar, then on 'secret Q&A' in the settings box.
Transferring ownership will change you to a regular member. The new owner will need to grant you admin powers, but it will be their board, so they don't have to do so and they are free to remove those powers or to remove your membership from the board at any time in the future if they so choose. So choose your successor carefully.
Have the board removed from your account
If you are absolutely sure that you won't want to re-open the board in the future and you don't want to transfer ownership to some one else, you can request that the board be removed from your account. The board will still exist, but it won't be associated with your account anymore.
If you want to take this option, please follow the steps above to remove the content from the board and then open a help ticket using the email address for the owner account and be sure to include the answer to the secret question and the url of the board.
