CDB1 server issues (404 errors/refreshing problems)

Posts: 9389 11-Jul-08 1:50 AM	Tags : information The latest news from the developers on this issue is that CDB1 servers are now fixed. All boards on CDB1 have been credited with 1 day of Gold. The problem is no longer confined to CDB1 however, and they are currently working on fixing CDB2. If you're on a CDB1 server, and you have missing posts/topics or other related problems please post them here with your board url. Please be specific about whether the problems are ongoing and repeating, or whether it's just missing topics that haven't turned up. All missing topics require a url where possible please. Posts: 520 13-Jul-08 10:41 AM	cdb1 was acting up this morning. The problem was not severe, however I think it should be noted because the problem is not "fixed." I was in the admin panel, and I copied a skin/template and it would appear and I would go in to edit it and it would not be there. Then I copied it again. And again and again, and it wasn't showing up. I refreshed the page, and there were 4 additional copies of the skin/template. I deleted one of them (going to delete the bunch, ya know) and after I deleted one, I was back to where I was 5 mins before (where there were not 4 copies of the skin) I then went to a sticky post on my board about the outage and posted a test message. It appeared and when I refreshed, it was gone. I would say in about 5 to ten mins it was back. So, it's the same problem but just not taking hours to update, but still it is a problem because it is interfering with normal board activity. Thank you. (cs.yuku.com)

Posts: 141 14-Jul-08 6:26 AM	a number of users(including myself) on Niketalk are experiencing intermittent 404 error messages when they load threads. It has happened at least 10-15 times this morning to myself, personally. Posts: 9389 14-Jul-08 2:24 PM	They are now working on cbd1 again, the the problem is related to the backups being made causing the server to drop a few seconds behind. If you try and enter a topic you've just made it could 404. But a few seconds later it should be there.

Posts: 9389 14-Jul-08 2:25 PM	They are working on cdb1 at the moment. It's dropping a few seconds behind which can cause 404 pages and missing skins for a very short period of time.

Posts: 141 14-Jul-08 6:32 PM	Thanks...but even threads that are not brand new are still getting the 404 response when threads are loaded. additionally...one of our stickies that was made(on 07/08/08 8:53 PM) does not show up if you navigate back to the forum using a link from a thread view(or even from one of my bookmarks)....it's only after a hard refresh (and sometimes multiple ones) that the thread shows up again as one of the stickies btw. Posts: 141 21-Jul-08 12:38 PM	Any updates? although not as frequent. I still get the 404 for that particular sticky...as well as not seeing the thread as a sticky. Also, a few of our members still report issues with replies not loading - eg, thread shows 12 pages, but when you click on page 12, there are no posts.
