I've always had the Administration Archives forum set on invisible and VIP members access only. However, one of my Moderators, who wasn't supposed to have access, was able to view the forum today. What gives?

Okay, never mind. I THINK it was my own mistake. But while I'm here, let me ask this: I have one of my Moderators set to Moderate a specific forum
that's private. However, even though it says in Member Management that she Moderates that forum, it doesn't show up that she does when you view that
forum under Forum Security Settings. There's another thing similar to that. I bulk edited a member group (again, in Member Management) and allowed them
lead status in a certain private forum. However, again, when you view the forum in Forum Security Settings, it doesn't even show that they have access
under the member exceptions table. Is that normal? I'm confused as to who has access to what now

Please check the individual management pages of your members with special access. In the forum access section, click default and then click the actual access
level for each forum (reply, lead, moderate, etc...)

Sorry, but I'm a bit confused by what you mean. Let me put it this way: if I grant a user access/privileges in the Member Management area, will that be
enough to give them access/privileges in that particular forum?

Taken from what Yuku says about managing private forums:
Making an admins and mods only forum - First, create a new forum (or use an existing one) and make it invisible. As admins have access to all forums anyway, you don't have to do anything to add them to a private forum. But to add the moderators, simply view the mods page and select all. Then click edit members in the clipboard box. On the edit bulk members page find the forum, and click the button for lead. This will give your moderators VIP status in that forum. It will be invisible for all other members. This doesn't work for me Either I add them manually in
the Forum Security settings, or they don't have access at all. No one I'm giving privileges to from Member Management has been able to access the
private forums.

Yes, I know, that's why I suggested to do it via the individual management page. I've seen this happening on a couple of boards. Three to be exact,
including yours, where the bulk access doesn't work properly.
One of the boards is my main test board and it drives me nuts:) Your report gives me another reason to test this again though and see if I can find a pattern. |

Okay, just thought I'd let you know this: I added three of my standard Yuku accounts (non-admin and non-mod) to a test group. I then bulk edited the group,
added them to a new test forum I made (which has the exact same settings as the forum I'm having trouble with), and I could access it just fine. For SOME
reason, I can't produce the error that my members are having for myself.

no problem. I probably won't have time for any heavy duty testing until the week after this one though, but I've re-added to my list of things to test.

Just thought I would let you know that adding members (from their individual Member Management page) to some of my current forums wasn't working. So, I
created new forums, copied the threads over, deleted the old forums, and THEN went to Member Management and added them individually to the new forums. That
seemed to work.
