If I have over 700 emoticons, can I still use yuku's server and upload them or do I need to keep them on another server? I am looking for ways to cut some
expenses. I would use photobucket but I really hate how when bandwidth is exceeded you get this huge ugly image instead of just nothing!
Oh and if you use yuku for your emoticons, do you ever have problems? |

Yes, you can still use Yuku. However, if you have over 300+ emotes now and upload one at a time by using the Edit button, it will cut you off at 300,
regardless. What I do is put them in an Excel spreadsheet using the ezBoard emote map and when I have a number of news ones, I upload as a new set (mega thanks
to Andrew for the tip!). Then I delete the old set. Whatever you do, don't touch that Edit button!
The only problem you may have is when, on the rare occasion, that the image servers go down. That's only happened twice (and only for a few hours, I might add) since I finally requested the move from ezBoard to Yuku a year ago last month. Much better uptime than I ever had with PhotoBucket even with a paid account.

Storage space seems smaller than 30 meg too, I uploaded pics and used about 9 meg of space and can't load any more pics.

I like to take advantage of the board's support account and host the board images in the support account's yuku image space. I do suggest that you sort the emotes into folders by subject or type
rather than putting all 700 in one folder. It will make using them easier.
The 300 emotes limit is for the number of smilies in one smilies set. It's not a limit for how many emotes you can upload to your yuku image space. |

Thanks, good on the support account, I don't think I would have thought of that! And it seems most of us who want 300+ emotes know how to add them to one
smiley set the long way. I don't need the edit button

I don't remember who suggested using the support account, but I really love the idea. Then the board's graphics aren't tying up my space and
it's especially handy if you have several people who make changes to the skins. They all have access to the same images.
The other reason I like the idea is over on ezboard, we had quite a few occasions where the ezop or the admin who owned the image storage account would be unavailable for several weeks and the emotes would get reset etc and the remaining admins couldn't fix the problem because they didn't have access to the images. |

Ok, this may be a stupid question, but how do you put little personal things under your avatar pictures? I would love to have some "blinkies" under
my avatar picture.

The admin has to put the blinkies under your avatar. They would click on INTERACT in your post, choose MANAGE and then they could edit that for you.

Ok, I am able to get to the manage part, where do I go from there? I am a COMPLETE newbie at this.... been trying to figure this out and how to load
emoticon's for almost 2 weeks.... grrr.

Does anyone know how to post a picture in a forum without it being shrunk?
I've seen many full sized photos yet everytime I post a picture it shrinks down to a very small size. |

Hi
Im a manager of an msn group transfering my stuff to Yuku. I C alot of good things here but... The one thing I need to be able to do is frame my poetry On msn you could just insert a table with a border and background put in a couple of pics, a sig, and drop the words in the frame...and voila...pretty art. Im lost here... If you can help I'd sure apreciate it. Thanks in advance.
