My new community, ccrbooks, shows as a community choice on my account page, but will not load. I tried logging off & then back on. Tried waiting a few minutes. All I get is a blank white page.

Thank you for the report. Will look into it asap. Can you tell me where you were when you created the community? Were you at the yuku home page?

Thanks for responding.
I was in my control panel, logged in, and clicked "create community" near where I click to manage my first community. If you need more info, I'll go back & retrace my steps. Thanks again. |

Do you remember which community you accessed your control panel from?
I haven't been able to reproduce this problem so far, but something is wrong. You can view your community while logged out, but it looks like the way communities looked when they were created way back when. I will be bugging this up immediately. Yes please try to retrace your steps, go to the same page where you were when you went to your control panel. If you don't mind, please create a new community with any name. See if it happens again. The community does show on your account and it looks normal from the back but obviously something isn't right. Please let me know how it goes when you create another community. |

I was logged in, and at the "home page" of my other community. I clicked "Account" at the top of the page. Thus, I was in my Control Panel, at Account Settings. I clicked "Create Community" under "Communities." I just did the same thing & successfully created "ccrbookclub" but would like, if at all possible, to use ccrbooks. If that is not possible, let me know & I'll work with this. Thanks. |

Thank you much for that information.
This is what we'll do. Once the original community has been fixed, I'll let you know and I'll change the URL of your current community to http://ccrbooks.yuku.com Please feel free to go right ahead and settle in at your newest community. Once everythig has been sorted out (this could take a bit though), I'll make sure you end up with the correct URL without having to make any moves. It is ineteresting to know that you performed the exact same actions twice and got it to work the second time. I will create a community off your other one and see if I can reproduce the issue. So far I haven't been able to do that. |

Thanks so much for your help.
It really is interesting. I logged off & tried again to go to the community I had first tried to set up. (Because I am a curious person!) Funny thing was - it led me to a community that was dated 2006! So perhaps there was a community ccrbooks that is now defunct; but is still on the server. Anyway, thank you for the help on your end. Your customer service has been great & I appreciate that. I have been working on a custom skin, for fun, and am happy it will seamlessly move. Cool.

You're welcome:)
Yes, I viewed your community when logged out and what you're actually seeing is the way a community was created back then. It had a few generic posts but not by the person who created the community. Nowadays there are still generic posts on a newly created community but they look as if they were created by the person who created the community. If you need a test community to work on your skin, please let me know. It is very easy to transfer a skin from one community to another and if you use a test board first then you don't have to be afraid to make mistakes. I have way too many a few spare communities should you want one. |

I wasn't going to bump this back up; but your last comment made me LOL. Literally!
Anyhoo, I'm okay so far with experimenting with the skin. I can envision what I want, but making it real is another thing. I may have to dig in "help" for little stuff. (i.e. can my font sizes differ depending on where one is - so far I can't get that to work.) If I get stuck, I may very well take you up on that offer - you know, using one of your Peace, slkw |
